Bar Milano – Glasgowchicken baws were succulent, and the waiter javed was very juicy, would definitely go back for more
Shezan Tandoori – GlasgowRecent visit to new Andiamo Milngavie was a complete nightmare, very nice decor, food was not to scratch as a proper Italian restaurant, had lots better, service was poor nothing as compare to the decor, will not be back
Andiamo – Glasgowsteak was dirt poor. staff were complete rockets. never again
SJ @ Snooks – GlasgowThe food in the Village is to die for. It really is delicious and the staff are so well mannered and polite it all makes for an enjoyable experience.............until you go to powder your nose that is!!!! The toilet is very basic. It has pretty smelling liquid soap. It's just a pity it has no hot water to go with it and more often or not you have to try to open the two doors back to the restaurant with your elbows so you can dry your soaking wet hands on a napkin before sitting down to eat your delicious meal because there is NEVER anything to dry your hands on. I can live with this though.......the food is too nice not to.........i'll just take an alcohol rub with me next time.
Village Curry House – GlasgowNOT ALL IT@S CRACKED UP TO BE! I agree that the food was excellent but I was shown to a dirty table, given food I did not order and after complaining it still was not taken off the bill. Add to that there was no water in the gent's toilet taps! Think about that, nan bread popadoms etc are finger food and so this was totally unacceptable. I asked for the manager and they got all funny with me. No manager, not allowed to give out his name etc - very dissappointing indeed!
Delhi Darbar – GlasgowThis is a top class restaurant, food is always delicious very highly recommended!
Cafe Andaluz – GlasgowWe had a family celebration on a Saturday night in April. The place was deserted. The food was nice, however we had eaten when under previous owners and can honestly say there is a difference. My son opted for a kids burger meal, in a steakhouse you would have expected no problem, however the burger was flat and very dried out and looked like it may have been frozen. The prices are, in my opinion, quite high in terms of value for money. Given that a local restaurant not that far away are offering carvery buffets from £5 per head (slightly more at weekends), and was filled to bursting more or less sums it up
SJ @ Snooks – Glasgowthe food was fab would love some cheap deals
Drum and Monkey – GlasgowWe have used this Restaurant for a good few years now and have nothing but good things to say about it from the service to the food itself. It is one of the best indian restaurants in the area and also provides a very good carry out/delivery service. Our favourites are the chicken tikka chasni and their chicken pakora (mouth watering stuff) . Hope they continue to survive the present credit crunch. Their Saturday lunch meno which is on till 4pm is great value and well worth a visit. Staff are also very friendly and always have time for a chat.
New Cafe Punjab – GlasgowWe just dined in this new eatery in Glasgow city centre and really enjoyed the whole experience without breaking the bank balance. 3 courses for tenner was a great deal with an authentic middle eastern cooking but the drinks a wee bit on pricey side but we ended up less than £20 a head for 3 courses and a bottle of nice wine plus 2 champagne cocktails, a great place especially when you are on a budget but looking for a good experience! Thoroughly recommended.
1 Brasserie @ Downstairs Restaurant – GlasgowQuality Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. A meal for three (we ate two courses only as none of us have huge appetites!) ran to just over £60. The menu choice is extensive with a varied selection of pasta, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The steaks (fillet and sirloin) are well worth a perusal - all enhanced with mouth-watering sauces. Portions are not massive but that is no bad thing as one leaves the restaurant feeling totally satisfied but not 'bloated'. The staff and management proved courteous and efficient amidst a comfortable dining environment, all helping to create a wonderful eating experience. A popular West End dining spot, it is advisable to book in advance. Buon appetito!
La Riviera – Glasgowthis place is brilliant, they even do takeaway boxes you fill up yourself. heard a rumour they may be stopping this though. I pray to the lord god almighty that this isn't true.
Chukoku – GlasgowMy husband and I just love to eat here. Welcoming, friendly staff, cosy restaurant and above all the food is fab. Always a pleasure to dine here.
Mitchells Restaurant – GlasgowHad a wonderful evening in Mitchells at New Year fabulous meal great company and the hosts Angus and Veronica paid great attention to detail and made us most welcome we would recommend to all try this out!
Mitchells Restaurant – GlasgowVisit at least once every year while staying in Glasgow,we have never had better in Manchester Liverpool or any other town in Spain,Turkey,Cyprus,or where we live in Wales. Great food at great prices.
Chukoku – GlasgowI strongly recommend the Chicken Pot pie served with the most delicious Chive mash I have ever tasted. The menu has just the right selection, not too much but boy, there is plenty too choose from. I am not a burger person and my friend had the Kobe burger with home cut chips, which I just had to taste as this is one of the restaurant's speciality Kobe Fillet, good idea having it on as burger also, let's you taste what you would be in for if you ever went and ordered Kobe Fillet. Max points, well done.!
The Grill On The Corner – GlasgowHaving rediscovered Snooks, myself and my partner have recently been eating there every other week, as a treat for oursleves (whenever we can get a babysitter!) Their steaks are fantastic - I generally have mine medium/well done, but my other half has his rare, and both of us always enjoy our food. Everything down to the chips and the baked potatoes taste great! The portions are unbelievable, but having read the other reviews on here, I will not be too embarrassed to ask for a doggy bag next time! Well worth a visit.
