Las Ramblas – GlasgowSnap Scott, we too live in Cheshire now and always look forward to our meal at the Koh I Noor when we go home. We have tried other indian restaurants but the Koh I Noor is by far our favourite.
Koh-I-Noor Restaurant The – Glasgowwould not recommend . there with a party of 20 and were disappointed. being in the catering trade myself i found this restaurant was over booked not enough staff serving the tables and not pleased with menu . the starter Thai fish cakes being overcooked and the sauce served with steak cold also chips looked like what you would get in McDonald's . certainly will not be back!!!!
The Living Room – GlasgowBy far the best Indian Buffet I have ever been to. An absolute must!
India Palms – GlasgowAte at the new Edinburgh branch recently. Well... I guess this is what Scottish might think Tapas or Spanish cooking is. More accurately (and depressingly) it is what Scottish people want in a restaurant ie lots of very heavy, deep fried, greasy and gloopy versions of Tapas. The service was very good, the restaurant is bright cheery and new, but sadly the food is dreadful. Went with a Spanish person who begged me to leave, but we were hungry so stayed. A shame really as fresh, authentic simple Tapas are easy to produce and delicious. (perfect example is Barrafina in London) Upon asking the (French) waiter, he confirmed that there was not a Spanish person anywhere to be seen in the kitchen. Can we not raise our expectations and standards a little in this country when it comes to food ?
Cafe Andaluz – Glasgowexcellent food, service and 100% recommended!!! Go it is GREAT!!!!
Delhi Darbar – GlasgowThe food has gone downhill something terrible.
Classic India – GlasgowThe Salmon!
Balbirs Restaurant – GlasgowHad lunch recently in cafe rogano- the food was overpriced and very disappointing. would not return
Rogano – GlasgowThe decor is relaxed, intimate and welcoming. The staff are extremely pleasant, attentive and patient. More so, the food is extremely good. It is clean tasting, delicious and leaves you wishing it could start all over again. If you haven't been, you must go, if you have been already, you must go back! See you there!
Thai Lemon Grass Restaurant – Glasgowbalbir, you are the man! ... thanks to this guy i have discovered the true meaning of wine and dine. he choose our food and told us exactly what wine to have with it.... well sir you know your stuff, spot on!
Balbirs Restaurant – Glasgow" i went to the restaurant with my husband and my daughter and another friend of mine. we just came back from holiday that evening and hoping something pleasant for us. so we went to this thai orchid. me, myself is very common with thai restaurant around glasgow. and for me, they're very good. but to my surprise, after waited for 5-10min to be seated, the manager (probably, from his acted) came to me and said; you probably want to go somewhere else because we're very busy!. there's a table that full of people just looked at me and my family because the manager's voice was loud. i don't know what his problem, and rather than having a wasted time arguing, we just went out from the restaurant. yes, i can see they're busy. but there's lots of still empty table to be seated. and though, there's no 'sorry' word came out from his mouth. just feel sad for them. they're losing their customer if they keep behaving in this manner."
Thai Orchid – GlasgowI Think Theyy Have Nice Food But There Chips Are Dry And Horrible They Have Lovely (L) Desserts And Ice Cream Overr All I Wouldd Givee It : 3 *** Stars
India Palms – Glasgowunder NEW management in spring 2008 and superb. Made our first visit in May with friends and though the food and service superb. Excellent value. Will definitely return.
Giffnock Ivy The – GlasgowThe Battlefield Rest is a firm favourite in our family. The food is always delicious and the staff are efficient and friendly. The restaurant has a very continental atmosphere. Advance booking is always required at weekends proving it's popularity
Battlefield Rest – GlasgowThe staff were really friendly, and the atmosphere is old but very cosy and familiar. The mezedes served as a starter were really nice. For the main course we had the Afelia and Pastichio. The afelia pork was dry and had a very distinct and unattractive flavour to it. The pastichio I ‘m afraid to say is one of the worst I have ever tried. Maybe it’s how they make it in Cyprus (although I doubt it). As I am Greek myself, it’s difficult to understand how someone can go wrong with simple, good old Greek food. Not good value for money. I will not be going back.
Greek Golden Kebab – Glasgowgood delicious
Jasmin One – GlasgowI took my partner to Snooks for his birthday on Wednesday after reading the reviews and I was very disappointed. My partners steak arrived on a plate with a single sprig of parsley for garnish (poor presentation) I was surprised to taste the veg and realise it was frozen and not fresh. I think for what you pay you expect fresh vegetables at least. Went into Lidl afterwards who confirmed that Snooks get their frozen vegetables from their store. Staff were pleasant enough. Wouldn't go back nor recommend it. We were not offered the unopened baked potatoes away with us and left £60 lighter but still hungry.
