La Bonne Auberge – GlasgowI visited many restaurants in and around the Glasgow area for most of my 42 years, and none can match the quality of food in this place. Not only is the food good but there is plenty of it unlike the more "Trendy" places and to top it all the price is excellent two course meal sitting for two £21 and if you take it away chop a fiver off that. This palace is a must for curry lovers so nip up Victoria road and get yer belly full
Anarkali Indian – GlasgowIf you have never visited the Darbar than you have never lived - this is the best Indian restaurant in the West of Scotland. The staff are always very helpful and happy - wish some of the other restaurants in Glasgow would take a leaf from their book... Keep up the good work. Fantastic.... xx
Delhi Darbar – GlasgowSeems slightly more plump (seating wise to the original branch in west end / Patrick. Dined Feb 07. Fairly busy evening, reasonable attention from staff. Scallops good, halibut slightly less fresh and the risotto a bit flavourless and a tad too firm to the bite. Trio of brulee superb. Spent as fair bit of money yet Maitre D' couldn? muster up a wee farewell thanks for the custom etc!!
Two Fat Ladies – Glasgowi booked this restaurant for my in -laws 50th wedding anniversary for the family the service and food was fantastic and damien and his staff helped to make it a special night .thanks guys, if you want somewhere special to go where the staff make you feel welcome i recommend bar milano!!!
Bar Milano – GlasgowMUST BE THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY BUFFET YOU CAN GET IN GLASGOW.
India Palms – Glasgowme and my boyfriend came from Liverpool to stay in Glasgow on 14th feb we had a lovely meal at the lemon grass
Thai Lemon Grass Restaurant – GlasgowExcellent Place to go. Great beer garden, good service, friendly staff
Beech Tree Inn The – GlasgowEnjoyed our starters and asked for our main courses to be delayed to let us have a break. As a result, my husband's main course was lukewarm on arrival. Staff were happy to bring him a replacement dish but this spoiled the meal which we were looking forward to having heard so many great things about this particular restaurant.
Pancho Villas – GlasgowAlways on hand to fill up your wine glass, maybe too handy but great place, food & staff.
Peking Palace – GlasgowThe asoka is very good. I have been a customer for over 10 years. Staff are very attentive and nice, pity the carry outs are not a patch on the meals inside. They have been made up for quite some time, bunged into micowaves and passed on. Delivery can exceed 1 hr, Find customer service POOR. If you complain, its take it or leave it!!!
Ashoka South Side – GlasgowVery nice pub indeed highly recommend it. Great in the summer, large pub. Staff are very pleasant and the pints are a treat.
Balmore Bar – GlasgowA jewel in the crown!!! Fantastic value, service and food, cannot be faulted. Quick service and large portions, the food just keeps coming. This place was recommended to me by a friend and now I recommend it to everyone I know, please visit it's well worth it. :-)
Delhi Darbar – GlasgowSuperb, warm and cosy atmosphere and very well-priced good quality grub. Staff are also a big plus, make you feel very welcome, feel you could stay all day! Excellent stuff!
Viva – GlasgowThe restaurant is always busy with a good atmosphere the Aromatic Duck is to Die for , never had a bad meal yet.
Amber Regent – GlasgowThe place is beautiful and the food gorgeous! I was so impressed with the decor. Apparently it was originally an old picture house that has been converted. The service was slightly slow but don? let that put you off. It is well worth a visit.
Tusk – GlasgowThis is a very busy take away and meals are turned around quickly...you never need wait too long. The food is extremely tasty and leaves you planning your next visit. I highly recommend the Wing Wah on Tollcross Road.
Wing Wah – GlasgowWe walked past Charcoals with the intention of going to another restaurant, simply because from the street Charcoals looks like a takeaway, and the other place looked a bit plusher. Our disappointment at the other restaurant just closing when we arrived was more than made up for by our visit to Charcoals. At the back of the shop is a very nice restaurant area which is not immediately visible from the street. Clean, comfortable, - a very pleasant place to be. The staff are very friendly, and were prepared to vary the menu for me (being vegetarian). But most importantly, the food is fantastic. My wife and myself both had Bhuna - one chicken and one made with Paneer (not on the menu), accompanied by Paswari nan and mushroom rice. My wife was the first to say that it's the best Indian meal she has ever had (just as I was going to say the same). And we have previously lived in Leicester - one of Britain's curry capitals. The Bhuna was perfect and the chicken and paneer were top quality and in generous proportion. The rice and nan were equally as good - the fruit flavours in the nan were wonderful. I would highly recommend Charcoals to any fan of Indian food visiting Glasgow. Don't be put off my it's takeaway appearance. We give Charcoals ten out of ten - and we'll certainly be returning whenever we can.
