Despite having been described as “congenitally greedy” I have to say I had my fill when enjoying Harry’s Cafe Bar Christmas lunch. It was perfect in every way. Could not be faulted. Top class.

Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsAn excellent Christmas lunch thank you. Very generous, tasty portions. The cauliflower cheese was amazing. Great atmosphere as always. We will be returning to enjoy a dessert as the main course was so generous.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsGorgeous Christmas lunch enjoyed with friends, both the turkey and the vegetarian nut roast were delicious and the vegetables ( served separately) cooked perfectly. ie not overcooked, amazing cauliflower cheese and gravy. Lovely ambience & well priced wine list along with good service.

Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsBrilliant food freshly made! Service was great. Really enjoyed it.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsSunday lunch. Choice of beef or roasted celeriac. The beef is sirloin thick cut slices, perfectly cooked and best quality, served with a real Yorkshire pud and real gravy. Only the congenitally greedy would ask for more. Generous servings of veg, family style. Roasties, carrot, hispi, cauliflower in a cheesy mustardy sauce. Followed up with pudding; proper apple crumble, real egg custard. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and family with great big tables and a roaring wood-burner in the corner. Lovely staff, clearly busy but always charming and cheerful. Fab, like a great-big hug of the best of half-forgotton Sundays past.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsBeen before and food was of the same high standard but felt short changed as only had one very small piece of beef - would have expected at least twice as much. There were some very loud children nearby but can’t blame the cafe for the lack of parenting skills shown

Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsReally lovely Sunday roast , great service and very welcoming staff.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe were looking forward to our Sunday lunch at Harry's Cafe Bar having eaten in the cafe at other times and been happy with what we had. However on this occasion all 4 of us were disappointed with the meal. We had the roast beef which arrived on our plate under a standard sized Yorkshire pudding, the impression being that they wanted to hide the fact that there was only one slice of beef which also carried a significant rim of fat thus reducing even further the edible portion to a few mouthfuls. For £20 a head that represents very poor value for money and whilst tender, the quality did not compensate at all for the miniscule quantity. 2 slices of beef would have been an appropriate serving in line with the price and to balance the vegetables on offer. These generally were well prepared and interesting although there could again have been more on offer given a party size of 4 adults. It was also disappointing that only one dessert was on offer and if not chosen then the only other option was a scone or a slice of cake. Again, not what you might consider to be a traditional Sunday Lunch. We won't be repeating this experience.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsWe had a table of 4 on Friday night, candle lit dining room lovely staff and great smells from the kitchen we knew this would be a lovely evening. All food served from our pre chosen menu was absolutely delicious, especially the cheese soufflé was on a different level! We all had a wonderful evening, last to leave it was so relaxing. Will definitely come back again.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsHad Sunday Lunch yesterday with my husband and 2 friends, the roast beef was of good quality, and tasted really lovely, vegetables presented in a bowl were plentiful with lots to choose from, the cauliflower cheese was especially good, can’t really fault the actual lunch. We felt rather let down due to the fact that there was only one dessert on offer, we felt a choice of maybe 3 items would be good, even if one of the items was ice cream, it is always nice to follow savoury with sweet, I know there was cake on offer, but cake is not a dessert, hence I can’t give a 5 out of 5 for the food.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsWe ate at Harry's twice during our week long stay in the area. Croque Monsieur for brunch were delicious, hot and beautifully presented. But the absolute highlight was roast beef on the Sunday (and also my favourite meal of our 3 week holiday). The beef was amazing - cooked rare, it cut like butter and was absolutely delicious. Roast potatoes and large Yorkshire puddings, ready to be doused in plentiful gravy, baked hispi cabbage, star anise carrots and the most incredible cauliflower cheese EVER! That meal will live on in my memory bank always.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsFaultless Sunday lunch here with 3 friends. Friendly efficient service and superb food - the Dexter beef was a revelation! Can't wait to come again
