New Inn – HalifaxIt's rare that you feel totally comfortable and at ease, but I certainly felt so at The delvers. The food is honest to goodness home cooking and I love it!!!!!!
Delvers Inn, The – Halifaxwe ate there one evening for my mums birthday. The food was great, very tasty, plentiful,& the service was good. the girl behind the bar and the waitress were very friendly. the price of our food was very, very reasonable. i had fajitas, delicious, £5.50. have paid 15 quid elsewhere. worth another visit. i was told they like well behaved children, which is fine by me, & luckily, mine are!
Shears Inn – HalifaxWe went there for our wedding night and it was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was absolutely gorgeous, it looked too good to eat because of the presentation. I would recommend this place for a romantic night out.
Holdsworth House – HalifaxExcellent village pub. Good food, real ale good company! Can recommend.
Delvers Inn, The – Halifaxi loved the griffin and i would love to go again.
Griffin Inn, The – HalifaxI agree with the other reviewer. A year ago this place wasn't much to write home about but these days I'd consider moving to Lightcliffe just to make it my local! The staff are friendly and the food is really solid home cooking at its best. I especially like the carvery (which I don't normally go for in other places) as it is all fresh and good quality. A gem!
Sun Inn – HalifaxIf you haven't been to the Sun for a while, try it again. The pub went through a rocky patch for a year or two but is now back with the best. The atmosphere's great - it's a really stylish place yet still has that local pub feel to it. The carvery is fantastic, but there are other excellent choices on the menu - the steak pie for one. Service is friendly and efficient. You'll need to book, but it's worth thinking ahead.
Sun Inn – HalifaxExcellent restaurant - I would honestly recommend all those Bradford goers to try it to believe it. Apparently had Imran Khan - The fine cricketer dining there. I am not surprised!!
Le Taj – HalifaxBeing a bit of a curry nut and having dined at most of the Indian restaurants in Bradford I usually end up disappointed when dining at any other Indian restaurant. Not on this occasion. The le taj in Halifax is as good if not better than anything in Bradford in my opinion. Freshly squeezed limejuice, fab curry, gorgeous bread etc. made for a top curry experience!
Le Taj – Halifax5 dishes for £40, 2-4-1 cocktails and a bottle of house wine for £15.
Get a coffee and a bacon butty for £5.
