White Horse, The – HarborneI went to the vine on sat the 15th Aug 2015 with six friends and the food that we had there was beautiful. Everybody enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the Vine for its food.
The Vine – HarborneI am regular to your bar but would like to know of Christmas day booking or cancelations my address is in my late mothers email this in sending you
The Junction – HarborneWe called in for coffee and desserts - very attractive and welcoming. BUT we were shown to a dirty table and no attempt was made to clean it. When the food arrived and was put on the same dirty table I was surprised to have to ask the waitress to clean it! Apart from that it was nice..
Prezzo – HarborneThe food in the vine has gone downhill, meals were not up to standards of what it should be. I was disgusted, it was a complete waste of money.
The Vine – HarborneNice place to relax.
Turners – HarborneGreat pizzas
Pizza Kings – HarborneTheir green and red Thai currys are second to none!! The place has real atmosphere and buzz!! Great for Harborne!!
Sabai Sabai – HarborneI visited Sabai Sabai recently, after having rather disappointing experiences at other local Thai restaurants. The whole evening with extremely enjoyable. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The choice on the menu is extensive. My friend and I chose a set menu platter for two, costing just over £20 each. Everything was delicious and just as beautiful as the foods I have tried on my two visits to Thailand. The amount put in front of us was enough to feed more than two of us, and I certainly left feeling like I needed to undo the top button of my jeans! The drinks menu was also pleasing and had a mixture of Thai beers, cocktails as well as standard drinks you would find in any decent restaurant. A truly fantastic restaurant I am looking forwarding to returning to.
Sabai Sabai – HarborneWe recently visited Sabai Sabai with friends after looking for an alternative to Choapraya and Choababy in Manchester. Following a 2 1/2 hour journey in the snow from Manchester I have to say it was worth every minute. We recently married in Thailand and had the pleasure of eating amazing Thai food in Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi. Myself and 3 other guests had an authentic Thai experience (apart from the snow outside) and will be visiting the restaurant again in the not too distant future. FOOD We ordered a selection of dishes so that we could all taste the different spices associated with different dishes. A dish I tried and loved in Thailand (Som Tam) was not on the menu, but after asking the waiter if it was possible to order, the dish arrived at our table and brought back some great memories. The Toong Tong (Golden Bags) and Pad Gra Prao (Holy Basil Classic) were great dishes along with the more traditional Pad Thai and Red Curry. We tried numerous other dishes and enjoyed every mouthful which left us wanting more even though we were stuffed. SERVICE The service matched the quality of the food. As I mentioned above, they went out of their way to provide a dish that was not on the menu. Their knowledge of the dishes on the menu was excellent and recommended some great dishes for us. They were always on hand for our every need and even entertained the restaurant by singing happy birthday with traditional Thai instruments on a couple of occasions to parties. VENUE The feeling in the restaurant is not only enhanced by the contemporary decor but it also brought to life the authentic Thai atmosphere. I can't wait to go back (open one in Manchester), so enjoy your visit just as we did. Amazing first class Thai experience! Well Done guys!
Sabai Sabai – HarborneI'm a frequent visitor to Bangla either for eat in or collection. The price is very reasonable and even cheaper if you get a collection. The food is of a high quality and the service is always friendly. My favourites are hot n spicy lamb and lamb tikka pathia.
Bangla Lounge – HarborneWARNING WARNING The food wasn't bad UNTIL we found GLASS in my wife's dish. The manager dealt with this issue disgracefully, refusing the waive the entire bill. The GLASS was found within the salad which had been distributed between all four of us. Please be warned, the management could not comprehend the seriousness of this incident, nor did he show any remorse.
Bangla Lounge – HarborneOn arrival at Turners of Harborne, it seems very small, But give it a chance, the cuisine by patron chef Richard Turner and his staff is exquisite, and reasonable price, for what you get! The location is ok, right on the high street, but parking is difficult if you go in the day, as you have to pay to park behind the restaurant... So go in the night, plus the atmosphere is a lot better! The whole restaurant is modern and tastefully decorated, Our first visit was at Xmas and Richard had a bespoke florist MJF in to decorate the restaurant and it was stunning! It is highly recommended you go!!
Turners – HarborneI have used this excellent restaurant since 1985 and have never had a bad meal. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient and the food is excellent and reasonably priced, too. The restaurant has been extensively refurbished over the years and is ideal for an intimate meal for two or for a night out with friends or colleagues. Highly recommended...give it a try.
Banu Indian Restaurant – HarborneI have eaten at the Banu Indian Restaurant many times and have enjoyed every visit. The staff are always very friendly and polite and the food is served to you promptly. As I am someone who does not really go for 'hot' Indian dishes, I enjoy several meals on the Banu's menu. I appreciate that if you are looking for a hot hot curry then maybe this is not the place to go but I would highly recommend it for anyone who likes good Indian cuisine and a nice evening meal out!
Banu Indian Restaurant – HarborneI decided to try Valentino's Credit Crunch Menu. It was well worth it. I had risotto for my starter and and fillet of Plaice for my main course. I even had a tasty dish of Tiramisu all washed down with a very tasty free glass of wine, all for£14.95. I Felt as if I'd been out for a very expensive meal and felt very satisfied !!! Thanks valentino's
Valentinos – HarborneVisited here recently after reading about refurbishment and I was not disappointed, what a great job that’s been done, especially the front window, the food was fantastic almost fine dining like, and the staff looked after myself and my guests perfectly not to aloof and not too much. Thanks guys
Henry Wong – HarborneI here with a group of 7 friends on the 22nd Nov to celebrate a 30th birthday, since this place has been refurbished its the nicest place in the area. Very modern and great for a night out. They let us in during the day to decorate the table for the birthday girl too. We had a beautiful meal - there are 2 menus - I ordered from the pizza menu and had Calzone, it was a massive portion! and it was totally delicious. There was a good choice of dishes for my vegetarian friends too! Every single one of us enjoyed our meal...including fussy eaters hehe The service was great, and after the meal we went up to the music room which is fabulously decorated, a separate bar and a dance floor, perfect night out!
