The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateTwo of us visited for afternoon tea at a reserved table. It was very quiet and the surroundings comfortable and pleasant. The waiter was extremely friendly and obliging. The food was plentiful and the sandwiches and cakes very good, but unfortunately the scones weren't the best I've tasted and were a little dry. As much tea and coffee as we wished.

We had a table reserved for us that was unexpected. We was served with tea and coffee straight away and had very little wait time for our sandwiches and cakes, all served on a lovely cake stand and all was well presented. We managed to eat all put in front of us as it was all so delicious, Our friendly gentleman brought us a free glass of prosecco, another lovely surprise. our compliments to the chef and the friendly gentleman. The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateEaster Sunday Lunch….Fabulous! We chose the Roast Beef which arrived with Roast& Mashed potatoes , a large Yorkshire Pudding and good selection of seasonal veg. We asked for beef slightly rare and it did not disappoint: pink, succulent , with an extra tasty gravy…Mmmm For desert, a lovely home made fruit pavlova…chewy meringue filled with fresh strawberries & whipped cream/ chocolate and caramel mouse, equally delicious . The service was excellent, quick, efficient and attentive. Overall an absolutely wonderful lunch . Look forward to the next visit.
