William & Victoria Restaurant & Wine Bar – HarrogateMy wife and I visited Millstones for the first time yesterday for a birthday celebration at which we were two of about 80 guests. Despite the numbers the entire afternoon went very well, helped enormously by the very efficient running of the event by the staff. There was a good selection on the menu and the (warm) food was piping hot. There was a carvery with three meats, all nicely cooked and tender...and my wife remarked that the vegetables, of which there was a wide selection, were the nicest she had ever had at a carvery meal. Excellent!
Outside Inn – HarrogateI booked the Cattlemans as it was recommended by someone who had been there several years ago and had a great meal. By all accounts it used to be a top steak house. We were a party of 6 and we all had a steak. Out of the 6 only 2 had been cooked correctly. I sent my cremated medium well, bone dry steak back and it came back less than 10mins later as a rare steak with blood oozing out all over the plate but again burnt on the outside! This was a £19.00 fillet and they got it wrong twice. Even the two steaks that had been cooked OK were nothing special and 4 of us didn't enjoy our meal. This was on top of the fact the meals took over an hour to come in the first place and the chips were barely warm when they arrived. The final insult came when I paid the bill. I had a 25% discount voucher from Harrogate Vouchers and they wouldn't honour it. They said that the voucher was only for 25% off the food up to 4 people and as we had a table of 6 I couldn't use it! I had to insist they take the service charge off. What a dreadful place. It is obviously living on past glory. There are plenty of other good restaurants in Harrogate including steak houses. Don't waste your money here.
Cattlemens Association – HarrogateThe food and the service are first class. i highly recommend this excellent restaurant

Outside Inn – HarrogateElegant and intimate dining in a beautiful old building very tastefully decorated. Attentive and friendly service but not obtrusive. Very good (not amazing) food.
William & Victoria Restaurant & Wine Bar – HarrogateMe and my family had a lovely night. The atmosphere was really nice, It had a warm and very friendly environment, the decor is great. And most of all the food was gorgeous, freshly cooked and a the service was great. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Deano's Graze and Grill
Deano’s Graze and Grill – HarrogateReally enjoyed our evening here late February: food and wine were excellent and we were really made to feel at home. Unpretentious and flexible, this is a place we will visit again as it compares well with some of the over-priced, loud places nearby.
L’Albero Delle Noci – Harrogatefantastic addition to the Harrogate dining scene. Lovely decor, seamless service and good value tasty food
Deano’s Graze and Grill – HarrogateEnglish tapas, beautifully cooked and served with excellence. Was particularly impressed with the black forest mousse. Definitely going back.
Deano’s Graze and Grill – HarrogateThe best Indian restaurant in Harrogate. food and service is very good.
Ali Raj Tandoori – HarrogateThis is a wonderful little pub, with great character! The food is superb and the service is excellent. The real ales are kept well and they have a good selection of reasonably priced wines. Well worth a visit!
The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateI have not eaten in here yet but have had several take away meals and the food is always superb!!
Tah Chang – HarrogateWhat a little gem this is - a la carte fine dining and lunchtime menus, set in a beautiful 16th century pub in the tiny village of Brearton. The welcome is always fabulous from the Bleiker family and the father Jurg is the head chef and his food is just delicious. All food is cooked from scratch so gluten free and coeliacs and vegetarians more than welcome, locally reared organic meat and fresh fish all available and the puddings are to die for. They have a choice of seating - from in the lovely garden area, in the conservatory, cosy romantic corners or corporate dining - even weddings and parties! This award-winning restaurant is a must and on our doorstep.
Bleikers At The Malt Shovel – HarrogateVery disappointing experience. Service very, very slow. Waited about 45 mins to be asked what we would like to eat and at least 2 other tables of diners who had arrived after us had their orders taken first. Other guests at another table left - wish we had. Food was ok, though have eaten better (wondered just what the 2009 award was awarded for and by whom - looked on leaving but wasn't clear). Didn't take dessert as was worried about how long it would take them to serve. Paid bill using bank card. It was inserted into the machine but then the waiter waltzed off with my card (still in the machine) so had to chase after him to retrieve it. Not good with amount of fraud these days. Shall definitely not be visiting again when we come to Harrogate.
Vivido – HarrogateDuring a protracted hotel stay, I had ample opportunity to try most of the restaurants, bistros and pubs serving traditional bar food in Harrogate, however, the allurement of quality beer, good company and excellent food kept me returning to this popular bar/bistro. With a regularly changing selection of real ales, continental lagers/beers, all of which were well kept and correctly served by helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a bar snack menu which reflected traditional and modern classics Fancy something a little more formal? No problem. The upstairs bistro contains all of the traditional bar meals plus a wide variety of wholesome meals predominantly utilising locally sourced meat and veg. An ample wine list permits the correct accompaniment to any meal, and all of the ales can be ordered at the table. In short, as a place to enjoy the best of Yorkshire food and drink, this is a hard place to beat.
Old Bell Tavern – HarrogateThis restaurant was recommended to us by friends who live locally. We had a drink in the wine bar which was packed around the bar, but had a great buzz about it and we ate in the restaurant upstairs. The food was superb and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
