Nice hotel friendly staff
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateComfortable stay, staff very helpful and supportive. Food good quality and very tasty though cooked breakfast was cold. Dining room a bit austere, unwelcoming ! Room a bit outdated and tired, but very clean. Bed was excellent and very comfortable
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateGreat Sunday roast, will be back!
The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateWe ate in the restaurant as part of a travelzoo deal, but even without the deduction, the price was good for the quality of food. We only had the main course, and chose the rib-eye steak which was cooked to perfection with a divine mushroom accompaniment, and superb chips. We were not inspired by the dessert menu, but instead had an Irish Coffee. Service was a little slow, but still within an acceptable time. A thoroughly enjoyable evening that we would happily repeat. The breakfast the following day was equally of a high standard with a huge variety on offer. It was lovely to sit in the window and watch the outside world pass by. Staff were efficient in clearing away used plates, so making room for even more! Unfortunately, the only blight on this relaxing time was the very loud conversation that the lady (deputy?) manager had with another two customers towards the end of the breakfast service. Rather than helping her excellent staff in clearing the tables, we were subjected to her very colourful and unsolicited life story, learning of her career at another high class local establishment (and gossip about customers there), her divorce from a farmer and subsequent change and downgrade in lifestyle, and her holidays to Spain . Had we lingered longer, we may even have discovered the name of her horse...
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateLovely pub and food - loved the double Yorkshire puds! Looking forward to going back again. Thank you.
The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateGood atmosphere. Good food. Efficient service. We will be back! Thank you Cath and the team!
The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateWe booked for a meal for 3 people before the fireworks on Sat 4th Nov at The Empress based on some local recommendations. There was no message or email to say the food menu would not be available on this day. We turned up for our booking (all parties between us having driven 90miles) to discover the only food available was an outside BBQ in the rain which only consisted of burgers, hot dog or chips!! We were also squished onto a table for 2 and had to grab another chair so we could all sit down. We were really looking forward to enjoying a nice pub meal before the fireworks and this was not what we expected. We should have been contacted to let us know the menu was not available so we could have chosen elsewhere. We didn’t have the option at 5pm on the day to go anywhere else. It’s safe to say we were pretty disappointed!!
The Empress – HarrogateGreat food and great service. The staff were excellent.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateBeautiful venue within walking distance to the main shopping area. The food arrived and looked delicious! Plenty of variety and our food intolerances were catered for. The hotel and waiting staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we’ll be back again.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateGreat pub, friendly welcome, excellent food. Perfect choice for Sunday lunch
The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateStayed for a couple of nights as an anniversary gift from our relatives. First night was not so good as very noisy with doors banging until late. My husband spoke to Dan about this and he immediately said he would sort it for us. Good to his word and lots more as we were upgraded to a super suite in a very quiet part of the hotel. Amelia was great too, she helped us move our things to the new room, also she was very friendly and a very upbeat person, exactly what you want in staff. We also had afternoon tea booked as part of our gift and that was wonderful too, and we were given complementary Prosecco for the problem we had the night before. Who doesn’t like a good breakfast when on holiday, it was lovely with plenty of choice and the staff were great, very attentive nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the cedar court hotel, Harrogate. Well done everyone.
