We stopped for an afternoon tea which had been gifted to us. The staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us and the afternoon tea was lovely.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateMy friend and I came for afternoon tea which was really lovely. Staff were attentive and we were looked after so well. Could eat it all so chef wrapped our leftovers up in foil designed as a handbag. How's that. Thankyou so much.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateAfternoon tea bought as a gift . It was delicious we were seated in a wrap around booth . Alex who showed us to our seats was very. friendly and attentive and helpful made sure we had everything we needed . We had a lovely afternoon
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateWe were given this Red Letter Afternoon Tea experience as a gift. Unfortunately, it was very underwhelming and disappointing for a hotel of this standing, which really spoiled the day. We were served in a quiet area of the hotel that had no atmosphere, and the food was very average from our previous experiences elsewhere. The scones in particular were hard and tasteless, and having been served an initial pot of tea, we were then left unattended until we decided to leave. Would not come again.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateUnfortunately did not live up to expectations, very slow service with the offer of refreshments, had to ask for posecco even thou was on a luxury package, scone cold, n given wrong order for sandwichs despite prior arrangements, Will give credit to Anne, was aplog etic for mix up.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateStaff very helpful , Afternoon Tea good Variety well presented , only one thing let it down is the Scones so hard maybe was not fresh !! I did ask for another one still the same very hard & microwaved ,
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateBooking made online, received confirmation & reminder which is always welcome. Lovely meal, varied choices with additional specials menu. Warmly welcomed, cosy comfortable setting, great place for birthday lunch. Excellent car parking facility.

Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateLovely meal for our birthdays so the additional chocolate cake and fruit garnish on a plate which said Happy birthday was a lovely surprise. Thank you.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateEnjoyed our stay, good food, good location, helpful staff will come again.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateThe afternoon tea was excellent, great choice selection, great service.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateLovely hotel and our room was nice and clean. Dinner however was not a good experience. Although it wasn't very busy (maybe 12 other couples), we waited well over an hour for our food to arrive and although it did taste lovely when it finally arrived, it did spoil the meal. We were given a complimentary drink as an apology. Breakfast buffet wasn't enjoyable at all. The orange " squash" was pretty much tasteless. My wife was dissapointed that there was no museli, and some cooked items left a lot to be desired. The bacon was just ok but the sausages had the taste and texture of having been heated up from the day before, definately not freshly cooked. And as previously mentioned, the table setting lacked a 2nd knife for butter and marmalade etc. All hotel staff were polite, friendly and informative.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateDINNER - Starters good. Mains a bit pricy. Little taste to swordfish and risotto. Wine good. Service by George exemplary. Plasterwork in dining room magnificent. BREAKFAST - Poor selection of cereals. You had to make your own muesli but no nuts. Bacon nice and lean. Hash browns and black pudding heavy with little taste. Albumen of fried eggs was hard - probably because of long time in bain-marie. No knife to spread butter and marmalade on your toast. Had to use my cooked breakfast knife. Not good value. ROOM - asked for a quiet room with garden view but marquee for beer festival was outside for 3 nights. OK with window closed but had to get up in middle of night to open as room was too warm. Slamming bedroom doors! Why can't guests close their doors quietly especially early morning and late at night? Needs a note in the guest information sheet as a reminder. Hotel gave us compensation as a result of our comments.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateGeorge hosted us very attentively and honestly and he was understanding. The barman took a while to deliver the Prosecco by giving it to the nearest couple first, who arrived after us. Of the two starters, the crab and prawn cocktail was disappointing. Small amount of prawns and no crab in sight. Apparently chef calls it a presentation thing. Bits of crab will be in the avocado, I am told. Call it crab flavoured avocado then! The steak mains were excellent. Nicely cooked to our preference and the sauce was lovely. Barman had up-sold drinks without consent. George was helpful and solved the issue accordingly.
Cedar Court Hotel – HarrogateLovely overnight stay. The evening meal was beautiful, fish & chips excellent! We were served by George. He is a credit to your hotel, a lovely friendly young man. Bathrooms needed updating but shower was good. Air con in the rooms is needed as you can’t open the windows. Breakfast was good although it was a big no to tinned tomatoes. Please get fresh ones! Although not perfect we would stay again.
