This was my first visit to this restaurant and it will be my last - I have had a better curry from Sainsbury's.

Sheesh Mahal – HeadingleyGreat food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Definitely be back soon!!
Gusto – HeadingleyGreat authentic thai food! The inviting aroma from the kitchen and the casual relaxed setting make Jino's really enjoyable. Highly recommend it for a delicious meal at more than reasonable price. A bonus is bring your own alcohol!
Jinos Thai Cafe – HeadingleyThis is quite simply the best restaurant Leeds has to offer. We went as a group of 12 ib a party and we were treated like kings! Amazing service and the food isnt bad either! May I recommend the steak olive tree although expensive was just divine! a* place
The Olive Tree Greek Restaurant – HeadingleyWent to the newly refurbished Est Est Est which is now called Gusto. Still owned by the same company so the excellent service was still very apparent. Food was excellent, still very Italian themed with just a wider selection on seafood and steak dishes. Highly recommend the Salt baked seabass which is amazing to watch them prepare for you and the calzone with chocolate and mascarpone! Still children friendly too which is great for my 2 year old so I can take him in there to make his own pizza. Will definitely be back!
Gusto – HeadingleyFriends had given good reports from a while back, and the feedback on Sugarvine sounded positive - so off we went to Amigos on 10th April. We were very disappointed. The tapas we ordered were just average, certainly nothing special (eg shop bought tomato sauce on the patatas bravas) but the bill was far too expensive for an average meal (including over £7 for just two - yes, two - scallops). We had 2 G&Ts, 1 £16 bottle of wine and 7 tapas, which came to over £71 - all for a decidedly average meal. Oh - and the bread and small bowl of olives we were offered when we first arrived bumped the bill up by another £5 or so (it really bugs me when restaurants try to make extra money by charging you for items without making it clear up front). What a shame, we'd really hoped for better.
Dos Amigos – HeadingleyThey were in The Times last Saturday, as the best pizza restaurant in the UK, so we went on the following Monday. It was 'heaving', a good sign for any restaurant on a Monday! The pizzas were fantastic, and the staff gave us great service, Bravo Salvo's
Salvos – HeadingleyI have been to all three restaurants and each time I leave disappointed. Each time I have been back I have kidding myself that there must be something beyond the hype and that I went on a bad night. I've finally realized that the whole chain is distinctly average. I've just come in from a meal and the dips were OK. A hummous was a little under seasoned, but maybe that's a personal thing as I like a lot of garlic. The flavours of the main courses were underwhelming. I had the slow roast lamb which was disconcertingly bland especially considering that it's free range. It tasted as though it had been cooked in water. The beef stew was better but still not great. The baklava wasn't spiced enough - just pastry sugar and nuts. I love cooking and I see eating out as an opportunity to try things I wouldn't make at home. I tend to judge restaurants according to whether I can cook the dishes better. I think it would take very little effort for the home cook to make better food. The Olive Tree is priced alongside the top end restaurants in Leeds and it just doesn’t deliver.
The Olive Tree Greek Restaurant – HeadingleyI absolutely loved this place. The owner was so friendly and helpful, the service was pristine and the food was unbelievable. So reasonable. Had the baked prawns with ginger and spring onion glass noodles. Divine. Literally. Went after reading in H2B magazine that the place had been awarded best Oriental restaurant in Yorkshire. The owner didn't even know! Bless him. No pretention no rice in pineapples just fab food and lovely staff. Best Thai known to man.
Thai Sabai – HeadingleyIn many years of travelling all over the world and eating in many "authentic" restaurants it is rare to fins a Thai restaurant that hits the spot with authenticity and fine food. In this restaurant we find that rarity gastronomic perfection. Yes its busy yes its noisy and yes you have to book, but what do you expect? The starters, main courses and desserts were equally superb but for me the jasmine rice wrapped in the leaf was the closest I have ever come to gastronomic nirvana! The staff are quiet attentive interested and efficient, its slightly cramped but again no surprise there. The price was good for the quality and selection we had! You must go, I confess to coming from Essex to Leeds for it.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Headingley – HeadingleyAs amazing as the original :) I left with a very full stomach and very happy.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Headingley – HeadingleyHad a lovely birthday meal at Thai Sabai on a cold wet January Monday! This place was excellent quality and value. All dishes really fresh and healthy and washed down with ice cold Thai beers. Service was also excellent. Anyone looking for unpretentious, great value Thai should try this place. Much better than some of the others in the area.
Thai Sabai – HeadingleyWe used to come to Est Est Est about 7 years ago when we lived down the road and it was always good. Having now moved back to the area we went back yesterday. I was expecting something that was ok but expensive. We didn't choose the most expensive options: pizza and salad for me, asparagus salad for partner, wines and juices, olives, make your own pizzas for the kids, ice creams for them, coffees and liqueurs for us but the bill was about £10/£15 less than I'd have expected. The pizza was lovely, mainly because the dough was perfectly cooked, and the salad fresh, crisp and well dressed. Definitely worth returning.
Gusto – HeadingleyThis is the most incredible restaurant ever the atmosphere is wonderful the waiters/waitresses are really nice and the food is amazing :)
Sukhothai Restaurant – Headingley – HeadingleyFound this great little cafe that serves great coffee and amazing carrot cake which is made by Kate, one of the proprietors. Interesting sandwiches and all free trade. Very friendly, with cool music and free wi-fi
Cafe Lento – HeadingleyWe love having this restaurant so close to our house! We ate there in September 07 and can’t wait to take friends here this weekend. Love the food, the atmosphere and the staff! 5 stars.
Dos Amigos – HeadingleyI have been going to amigos for 5 years now and since the change of management it has gone downhill. The prices have gone up, the food has gone down. They seem to serve mayonnaise with everything the old management would not be happy to see this food. Instead of garlic bread we got 4 slices of stale bread with a huge dolop of mayonnaise, the potatas bravas weren't even cooked properly and then they put the prices up. We were very very disappointed and we wont be going back there.
Dos Amigos – Headingleythis is the best tapas food i have eaten in years... defo best in Leeds and better than much i have eaten in Spain. since the change in management all the old cleanliness problems have gone and it is a fab place to eat
