Chimneys, The – HeswallThe food was exceptionally tatstey with plesent staff enjoyable scences and breathtaking views of Wales. Getting there for about 7:30 and being able to enjoy the sunset and have a romantic meal with my partener.
Sheldrakes – Heswallwe decided to eat on a Saturday evening. My husband attempted to get served at the bar for drinks and was surrounded by people complaining about lack of staff and the state of the bar area. He eventually got our drinks and we had a nice meal until staff started moving tables due to a group playing there....staff should warn customers about this before they commit themselves to spending hard earned cash on what we thought would be a quiet meal...
Acorn Hotel – HeswallExcellent, a nice cozy restaurant, hidden away in Bromborough. The food was gorgeous, ENORMOUS portions - couldn't eat it all though we tried! Friendly staff. Food was out of this world, I had the tuna salad for starter, Chicken Roberto for main course (fabulous!) and their home made tiramisu for desert! My boyfriend had the crostini to start, penne arrabiata for main course and their home made icecream for dessert (heavenly!) We had a bottle of house wine and a couple of coffees. Including a tip it came to £40 I think they have a website www.romagna.co.uk
Roberto’s Italian Restaurant – HeswallI have eaten here many times and the food is absolutely wonderful. I have also taken my ten month old daughter who was very well catered for and the staff could not do enough for us! "The Marsh Cat" is also in a beautiful position and dining here is something to look forward to, always.
Marsh Cat Restaurant – Heswallbloomin good grub and a lovely place to boot !!!
Dibbinsdale Inn – HeswallVery athentic and tastey
Heswall Tandoori – HeswallA wonderful atmosphere. The banquet very good. Excellent tea time menu
King Wah Restaurant – HeswallA bit on edge as I was meeting the bloke's parents for the first time but I still enjoyed the food and would recommend it to anybody.
Marsh Cat Restaurant – HeswallThe Cowshed restaurant is the name for the top class A La Carte restaurant at The Wheatsheaf or 'Thatch' as it is locally known. Chef Julian Davies (ex Paparazzi, Chester), has been there since it’s opening in 1999 and devises the exceptional menu which he changes every 3-4 months. My favourite was the medallions of pork (now taken off the menu but Julian will make it at my request)!! The wine list is excellent and the decor (an old converted cowshed), is tremendous and thoroughly pleasant to sit in and enjoy with a great view of the fields and ponies . The restaurant serves toasties (about 80 varieties), steaks and salads daily from 11.30-2.30pm but booking is essential as it gets packed out especially on Fridays and weekends. Sunday lunch is a must try 10.95 for 3 courses, also you must book in advance. All meat and fresh produce is sourced locally and there are daily specials for both the daytime and A La Carte menu’s. A Short, Bromoborough
The Wheatsheaf Inn and Cowshed Restaurant – HeswallEaten here about 15 times. Never had a bad meal. Food has always been delicious and freshly cooked. Really good value. (Never tried the Sunday buffet though)
Spice Garden – HeswallGood Chinese but nothing special.
