What a quaint little place we visited last night. We went for the Meze banquet and the food was very good and very filling - couldn't manage a dessert, although we were given a taster. Definitely will visit again. Good for large parties

been here twice now even though it is quite far for us to travel. Food was beautiful. there are always lots of parties going on but they managed to fit us in both times although they were pretty full!

6 of us went on the recommendation of reviews on this site.. The place is an excellent location for an evening out with friends. the food is fantastic , with a wide choice to suit all tastes the wine list is extensive . Nothing is too much trouble for the staff .. Good night out guaranteed...

I'm always eating out at restaurants and love trying new places. This is possibly the best restaurant I have ever been to in terms of the whole experience. The food is amazing and the service is second to none. In truth the restaurant it tiny but the atmosphere is so amazing. I think it's size and quaintness that makes it so amazing. Seriously can not wait to go back. I've been telling m family and work colleagues about this place all week. Looking forward to going again soon.

I went here for my birthday last July after reading excellent reviews. The dishes received were of a very good standard, and the menu was extensive. We received an attentive, individual service and as my partner and I were having a meal on a special occasion, we felt that the ambience was superb. Definitely worth a visit

I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this hidden gem of a restaurant! An extremely welcoming venue, run by the friendliest people you could hope for. We had the Meze Greek Banquet and it was very, very special and worth every penny. Particularly enjoyed the Imam Bayildi with Baby Aubergines - the icing on the cake! Oh, and if you're the sort of person that worries about opting for the house wine (like me), there's no need to here.

Really great Indian restaurant nice atmosphere, good seating various cubicles in each side of the restaurant. Food was delicious been back twice now would definitely return. Careful not to drive past it doesn't stand out on the main road.

This small cosy authentic Tapas bar is one of my very favourite places to eat and relax. It is becoming so popular that I couldn't get a reservation on my last request for Saturday night. I know not to leave it to the last minute anymore!! It's really nice to go there when Javier esta; porque es muy amable y encantantador..a really nice guy!!

It? not really Bolton, its more in-between Bolton and Wigan. A truly nice place.

Good local Italian food cosy

As always, excellent food, service & ambience. We have never been disappointed in our visits to Sokrates & are always treated in a respectful & friendly manner. Tonight was a Birthday meal for me & my family and I cannot think of a better way to spend a Birthday! Many Thanks to all the staff at the Winter Hey Lane Taverna!!!

One of the only Indian restaurants I will eat in Bolton as they are generally greasy and yukky. Good clean food and restaurant recently refurbished, not bad at all

We go here often as it is just down the road form us. I have to say that whilst I think the actual pub is lovely the food vary's all the time from good to awful. Its a 50/50 thing which are not good odds. We would however go again - although it would not be a first choice - be ware of special meals like christmas and easter etc.. thats whent he stress ont he kitchen seems to take its toll.

I have now been twice to this restaurant and found it to be most enjoyable. It is not a fast food place and the Greek style of 'why rush' is pleasantly in evidence. We had the mezze. It is realistically priced for the diverse volume and tastes that you get. The quality is good. I had beer and this was in good condition. The wine was if slightly pricey was complimentary to the meal. All told a good night out and I don? think you would be disappointed.
