My first choice was for the home-made soup and then I had a lovely fresh salad, what was really nice was the wonderful home-made coleslaw and cous cous with proper roasted veggies that I had with some poached salmon. My friend had the 'special' a home-made bubble & squeak. it was really good.
Bubble and Squeak – HuddersfieldWent with a party of 18, and dined upstairs. every one enjoyed their food and service, my one complaint would have to be that one of the party was sat too close to the open fire which was very hot and made the dinner very uncomfortable for them.
Moorland Lodge Restaurant – HuddersfieldFood always good especially if you pick from the specials. Service is friendly and not over fussy. Very good value at lunchtime. The premises could do with a bit of a makeover, but we didn't go for the decor. Would go again, though we live 30 miles away.

All the food we had was homemade and the range of puddings was superb

Maxis Pizzas – HuddersfieldMaxis pizzas the best takeaway i had been to the service was great! and extremely polite they handled my order perfectly and the speed of which my order had been made was brilliant and another thing is the taste was superb I also went next door to the restaurant and the place was beautiful and very nice and welcoming all of the waiters were polite and friendly I also tried a meal out there because i was so satisfied with maxis i truly do recommend maxis to anyone who likes to eat out in restaurants but again i have to say the service of both sides especially the takeaway side was excellent The staff of maxis at the counter were polite professional very experienced!
Maxis Pizzas – Huddersfieldexcellent genuine home cooked food in a fantastically located traditional pub. i've never come across friendlier staff and it was the perfect retreat after a day's walking. not a beer drinker myself but my partner assures me the beer is excellent too! oh, not forgetting the open fire to dry off your boots and wet dog!

Lower Royal George Inn – HuddersfieldThe food and staff are fantastic, I have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes from walking in to having the food on the table, if I had to find something wrong it would be the noise, it is a small place so the noise of people talking is quite loud but not too loud at all, I think its one off the best places to eat in Huddersfield by far.
