Fabulous food, great personal service, friendly atmosphere Highly recommend a visit
The Rising Moon – HydeLovely food well prepared and served hot. We have been a number of times and the food is always excellent.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe had a lovely evening for my brothers 70th birthday, the staff were all nice and friendly. Good food and drink.
The Rising Moon – HydeFood was lovely as always but service was bad had Had to ask to get drinks when everybody else had been served Staff cleaning tables as were waiting Meal came no comment made just put down on table Nobody came halfway through to see if our meals were ok Nobody came to clear dishes and ask if everything was ok with our meals Had to find somebody to ask for bill got fed up of waiting so went to bar to pay bill had to wait there Went outside And staff were outside not even given us our bill .
The Rising Moon – HydeI ate at this pub on 28/3/23. The service and staff were great. Sadly my meal wasn’t. I ordered the top side of beef in a pepper sauce. The sauce was lovely but I was unable to eat very little of the meat due to it being full of gristle and sinews. When asked if Our meals were ok I pointed out how bad the meat was and was only offered a “sorry” . Sad to say it will be a long time before I eat here again.
The Rising Moon – HydeBooked lunch on 28 March first time at the Rising moon waited 45 minutes and was told our order was not on the system, after I asked to speak to the manager , she did sort it out very quickly and we got our drinks free the steak sandwich was the best ever I would still recommended this pub my only concern is you cannot choose where to sit and have to wait for a member of staff to seat you. I would go back especially for the steak sandwich
The Rising Moon – HydeService and food was good. Steak cooked just right and everything went well.
The Rising Moon – HydeOur second visit to the Rising Moon for a Wedding Anniversary Lunch and were not disappointed with the Quality of the Food ( Pork Loin delicious) and excellent Table Service from Adele and staff . A lovely warm restaurant with country views which we would highly recommend as an ideal place for great food at reasonable prices and for any special occasions. Looking forward to returning in the very near future. Many thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience
The Rising Moon – HydeFirst time attending to this really nice pub. But the service did lack! Was seated with the very high chairs and the high table. Wasn’t happy baring in mind we had kids! Booked the table for Mother’s Day a month ago! Not even sat down the lady had asked if we wanted drinks again just taking coats of she could have waited! Waited 15 mins to be served again which therefore took our drinks order but then hadn’t gave us kids menus nor any activity for the kids which they had! Food was excellent! Again after we wasn’t offered the desert menu and our deposit wasn’t taken off the bill again we had to ask! Child’s ice cream only came with one topping but it stated two topping had to ask! It was very nice but the service could be improved!
The Rising Moon – HydeHad Sunday lunch, it was ok nothing special. Beef was tough. Prices way over priced for a mediocre pub lunch.
The Rising Moon – HydeFirst time to rising moon for mother's day, food absolutely fantastic, we had the fish and chips and cheese pie which I'd definitely recommend. Service very good also .would definitely return but need a table in the restaurant part and not the high tables .
The Rising Moon – HydePaddy’s day meal, came in at teatime for a birthday tea for my girlfriends 40th. with an 8 yo and a 2 yo. after ordering the mains it came an hour and 30 mins later. the kids orders had gone to the kitchen but not the adults. after having to constantly repeat to the hungry 8yo that it was 5 mins away every 5 mins or so did ruin the experience. nice friendly atmosphere but wouldn’t eat there again
The Rising Moon – HydeBooked a family meal for 6 adults and 1 child @ 5pm on a Saturday. Food was great however we had to wait a very long time for it to be served due to how busy it was. (No problem) We didn’t have any starters and by time we had finished our mains we were rushed out off the table and was told we couldn’t order any desserts due to needing the table back at 7pm. If we were slow at eating I could fully accept being rushed off the table. This wasn’t the case and I’m just thankful we didn’t order starters otherwise I don’t think we would’ve received our mains in time. I understand service can be slower at peak times but I do have an issue with having our meal cut short due to no fault of our own. This is the second time this has happened so we will not be returning within a ‘busy period’ moving forward.
The Rising Moon – HydeHad a meal on Saturday, 18th March, at The Rising Moon. Delicious food, plenty also on our plates. Staff were excellent. Had a lovely couple of hours for our early Mothers Day meal.
