The Rising Moon – HydeBooked in advanced, waited 40 minutes for starters then about 50 minutes for mains. Didn't get offered another drink in all that time. One of our members is coeliac so he chose the gluten free options told the waiter it was to he GF aswell. The starter came with non GF bread! To which the chef just took off then sent back on the same plate. Clearly no education on cross contamination. Asked the waiter to ask the chef to ensure the main was GF. He never came back. Never got cutlery with our mains had to go and get them. It was very busy and clearly not enough staff. The manager didn't seemed to he phased by this though she was the only one who didn't look stressed , the other poor staff looked exhausted. It was clearly too busy and they couldn't cope. They should have stopped taking food orders . 2 and half hours for a 2 course meal is unacceptable. Let alone not even being offered another drink. Only seems to run well when we have visited and Matt is on.
The Rising Moon – HydeFood great as always, staff friendly, polite and super efficient.
The Rising Moon – HydeI came up one night with a friend as I heard really good reviews on the food the food lived up to the review fresh and hot I had the duck spring rolls for starters they were delicious and my friend enjoyed her chilli and chorizo prawns aswell! For main we had the fish and chips the fish was huge the price was amazing for the amount of food we got on the plate and the lovely man who recommend the tandoori chicken to my friend and what a great recommendation. The only thing I would say really the let experience down was the staff was more focused on the cleaning and closing on the pub in evening than to ask us if we would like our bill or a pudding which we was really looking forward to having after our food but never was asked! We had to go up to the bar ourselves where a few staff looked at me but didn’t think to come and serve me at the till which was disappointing. The man who served us although was fabulous and a really credit to the pub possibly a manager I think and he ended up sorting us at the till. Don’t get me wrong I will definitely be returning for food again as it was lovely but maybe a little customer service tip from the customers point of view thank you!
The Rising Moon – HydeWe booked a table for 5 pm on Sunday 5th May we were shown to our table just after 5 pm it was very busy so expected a bit of wait. Our orders were taken after half hour or so we then waited till 7pm for our food after constantly asking how long it would be . The food eventually arrived by this time we were understandably upset and really hungry the food was pretty much thrown on a plate and inedible the Sunday roast was swimming in what I can only describe as jelly gravy which had began to set as it was cold the vegetables you could have cracked a tooth on they were raw not even slightly cooked it was vile. The wraps were slapped on a plate cold not even warmed and the chips were saturated through in grease again inedible. And to add even more while we were waiting the blind fell off the window knocked the window box off onto my sisters back which is no one’s fault but she was promised a free glass of wine ( wow) which we never got and was then charged £110 for the pleasure. Worst day ever!!! Food was disgusting management were a joke the only nice thing was the lovely young man serving our swill he should have raise for trying to glitter a turd which in fair would have tasted 100% better. Never going again and have sent an email to Robinsons Brewery think they should know too.
The Rising Moon – HydeMyself and my husband visited on 6th May. I only have praise for the restaurant and staff both are fantastic & the food is beautiful. We had garlic mushrooms & mushroom soup to start followed by lamb Henry & cheese & onion pie for mains. Both courses were beautiful and very good portion sizes. We went for our 35th Wedding Anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you so muchxxx
The Rising Moon – HydeAlways the best food, can’t fault it, making our way through the menu
The Rising Moon – HydeGood food and choice. Atmosphere & decor is great. Been lots but last 3 times struggled to get drinks. Feel forward planning of drinks needs looking at especially for busy Bank holiday weekends as came Easter Saturday & struggled to have different cocktails as didn’t have spirits or mixers for them, came Easter Monday & no cider & May bank holiday bar had no cider, no Guinness, no fruit shoots, no straws & glasses over other pumps too.
The Rising Moon – HydeGreat food - atmosphere & service. There's just nothing to not like about The Rising Moon - although I wish you could tip using your card. I rarely carry cash & had to leave without tipping yesterday which made me feel awful because the service was very good.
The Rising Moon – HydeThe premises is extremely neat clean and well presented. The personell are extremely friendly and efficient. The food choice and quality is excellent.
The Rising Moon – HydeExcellent service , lovely food , we will definitely be back , added bonus of the park where the children can play .
The Rising Moon – HydeExcellent food with quick service considering there was a large private function.
The Rising Moon – HydeWent to The Rising Moon for the first time. Unfortunately due to a birthday party we were not able to sit in the main dining room, therefore were sat in close proximity to the toilets. Not ideal, but things like this happen. The menu was quite extensive with a good selection of food and what we ordered was of a good standard. Like a lot of pubs, food reasonably priced, but drinks expensive. Overall a pleasant experience.
The Rising Moon – HydeFirst time eating at the Rising Moon. Went Saturday evening (27 April), the pub was very busy and the restaurant had a big party in of 34, staff explained they was a little behide with orders but we said this wasn't a problem. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was gorgeous and we didn't wait long at all.
The Rising Moon – HydeFirst time for myself eating at the Rising Moon. I went Saturday evening (27th April), the pub was very busy and the restaurant had a large party of 34, due to this staff explained that they was a little behide with orders, but this wasn't a problem, we didn't wait long at all. The food was gorgeous and the staff were all lovely. Would highly recommend and will be going again.
The Rising Moon – HydeThe food at the rising moon is always delicious. The home made pies are the best I've tasted by a mile. We came last night with friends who hadn't been before and I recommended the cheese and onion and they were delighted and agreed it was excellent. The only disappointment was that on arrival my partner asked for unicorn and that was the only bitter and it was no longer available that evening. One of my friends asked for JD and coke which was fine but when he asked for another that was no longer available and also no availability on any whiskey. It is the first time I have known it so did stress to not let it put them off. We always enjoy coming to the rising moon. Lovely staff too!
The Rising Moon – HydeVisited the Rising Moon on 22nd April and was well looked after. The food was lovely as was the service and the young man went above and beyond opening door and chatting asking us how we were. Lovely place, people service and food.
