I am a regular to a very limited number of restaurants - Spices is one I always return to when in London. I most appreciate the great and freshly prepared food and the unequalled service - always friendly & always welcoming. All in all: my favourite when it comes to value for money

A great place to eat. good fun too.

PERFECT

A brilliant little all-you-can-eat restaurant. If you don't mind the brusqueness of the staff, and aren't looking for a particularly quiet atmosphere, you will love it here. The food is the generic 'British-Chinese food offering you'll find in the majority of chinese restaurants, and as you can tell by the name, in plentiful supply. Good prices, roughly £5 for a buffet before 5pm, and about £10 thereafter. The later times have a wider selection of foods, such as duck rolls etc.

I read a review of "Spices" on the internet last Friday and me and my GF thought we would give it a try that evening. I tell you now without any exaggeration that the food and service is the best i have experienced in an Indian restaurant. I lived in the East End for many years and have eaten in well over 30 different Indian Restaurants. The service from Ali was first class, the advice, care and attention was perfect - if only more places could be like this!!! The food was absolutely delicious - every mouthful was exquisite. I will be returning with friends and family. Note its BYO booze too so the bill ends up as practically nothing. I cant recommend this place enough!! Best summer venue in London the food beer atmosphere and style of venue was awesome

After being a good customer of Ali? for the past 3 years I can safely say that Ali? is the best curry restaurant in London. Having tried brick lane, Ali? is a breathe of fresh air. Ali? passion for his cooking comes through in the taste of the food. I always leave wanting more and for me this is the most important quality of an outstanding restaurant.

Very nice meat, served in the typical "rodizio" way, which enable you to see and choose what you're going to eat, and makes a very funny atmosphere. Waiters are kind and available to explain you what they are bringing, and help you to serve yourself. The only problem: there is a nice selection of wines, but if you are alone and can't take a bottle, the selection by the glass is very poor.

This is a great place to experience authentic India food. I love the thalis, which if you are brave enough to order the Grand thali will satisfy even the largest appetite. Prices are great, around £12 each with drinks. The staff are friendly and I love the mix of communal dining and booths. The outside terrace will be great in the warmer months.

Friendly service, helpful the whole night. I?e been I London 6 months and this is the best service I?e had. I will recommend it everybody.

Fantastic friendly staff. The most important thing when I eat out is how friendly the staff are and if they chat to you over the course of the evening and can explain the dishes. Excellent and food was perfect. Will see you again soon.

A true gem of a restaurant. The service was outstanding as was the food. Plenty of choice on the self-service salad/veg bar. A selection of meat/Fish/or vegetarian is brought to your table and carved in front of you. This keeps coming until you say Stop!!! The staff were excellent and explained how the whole operation worked leaving you relaxed to enjoy your meal. A++++ will revisit again soon
