Excellent meal again and as usual the staff were pleasant and attentive. We only visit Newcastle a couple of times a year but always take the Metro out to Jesmond to visit our favourite Italian restaurant.

Avanti – JesmondFriday 1 December 2023 Greeted nicely on arrival and seated within minutes at our reserved table for 2. Friendly, courteous staff set our table and took an order for drinks whilst we browsed the menu. Good choice of food, everything went smoothly, not too fast. not too slow. I was impressed by the atmosphere and cosy feel of the place. It was busy but relaxed at the same time. The food and wine was good. Tasty and well presented. I could have stayed longer and I will return soon. Compliments to all concerned in the running of a very good restaurant.

Avanti – JesmondWe had a lovely meal at Avanti. Booking was easy and our table was ready for us when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and courteous, and we felt very welcome. The food came in good time and was delicious. It was so nice to be eating authentic Italian food from the kitchen, rather than chain restaurant food. In fact we don't often have three courses, but as it was all so tasty, we ended up having deserts. A good job too because the tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding were excellent. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience that didn't cost us the earth. Thanks Avanti!

We had booked for 6 people but 4 got stuck in South Shields after the Great North Run but the manager was really understanding. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.
