An absolute gem of a restaurant. We have been many times and always enjoyed both the meals and atmosphere. The staff are warm and friendly, service is quick. They are also quite willing to change dishes to suit your tastes.

Me and my husband went to Chaplin's on a Sunday evening was a very interesting place, different but in a good way. The service is good and friendly and the food was beautiful, and definitely homemade. The only problem a had that evening was the noise from the kitchen which was sadly too close to my table, the chefs must have anger issues as we could hear the shouting from the kitchen too clearly, it made us feel very uncomfortable. We will although return as other than that it was a joyful evening.

This pub is now under new ownership (January 2007) and with it comes a new chef and a more upmarket menu. The food was well prepared and presented. There was five kinds of vegetables and all perfectly cooked ie neither over- nor under-done. Phew! I had the chicken in tarragon sauce and found the chicken succulent, plentiful and the sauce just right. The chef has a good understanding of roast potatoes! My partner had the lamb which was tasty and tender in good gravy with fine mash. We didn't have any puddings but the people on the next table were very happy with their Yorkshire Parkin and Custard and Apple Crumble and Cream. It's a great relief to us to have a restaurant in the village which cares about the food. Service was attentive and we enjoyed the mulled wine. While we didn't have any "real" wine on this occasion, the overall impression inspired confidence so I'd guess care has gone into the selection of wines too. The main courses were between £8 - £13 but mainly eight or nine pounds and we felt the meal was very good value for money. They also offer light lunches.

Great food, let down by average standard of service.

Excellent food, very friendly service and the ambience and decor is spot on. A very enjoyable and relaxing meal out. I live in Haworth and after to speaking to lots of locals it's also there favorite eating place in the village.

Heard alot about The Shimla Spice Restaurant in Shipley and seen the Restaurant being advertised alot in the papers. So thought why not check over the Internet for more information about the restaurant. Coming to a result that the restaurant is great and a very good outlet and the food is brilliant cause its the same owners and the same company as The Shimla Spice in Keighley, which is magnificent. So we arrived at the restaurant in Shipley about half 7 8 o clock last Saturday night and finding the restaurant to be booming and were told by the manger(who was the manger over at the Keighley branch before the Shipley branched opened) that the next available table will be in 2 hours... Hearing this we made our way down to The Shimla Spice Restaurant in Keighley magnificently the branch in Keighley was mega busy, finding people waiting and the reception to be full...When seen by the manger, and told that the waiting for the next table is half an hour we came to a result to wait for a table... The rest of the evening fell in place(magnificent service, vibrant atmosphere, excellent food. The Shimla Spice Restaurant in Keighley is run and maneged by two talented charismatic young professional entrepreneurs and their team of exclusive waiters, who will provide u with a brilliant and a mind blowing night out at a reasonable price and who are always wanting to know from the customers how the restaurant can be improved and willing to take up any customer recommendations. The Shimla Spice Company is a business which is upcoming and brilliantly represented... I can recommend this restaurant to anyone out there whose looking to enjoy a great night out at a reasonable price. Tonight I will be trying The Shimla Spice Restaurant in Shipley(and ill definitely write on this website how we found the night to be there) and tonight we have booked!!!!!!!!!

Needs a refit. Looks like a lovely pub from the outside but inside its like something from the sixties.

As an Aussie on a 9 hour wander around the Dales from Haworth to Ponden Hall and all around, on the way back to Haworth where I was staying it was great to come across The Wuthering Heights Inn when I was feeling like a good meal after almost 6 hours walking. Having ordered a Ploughmans Lunch and finding that one of the best red wines they had was an Australian Shiraz I went out the back to wait for my food to be served and then I felt right at home. With an Aussie red in my hand I sat down under two great big Fosters unbrellas to shade me from the Yorkshire sun - almost home sweet home! The finest tradional pub in the area keighley not skipton as stated above fantastic quality timothy taylors ales on offer all 5 I challenge you to find a better pub any where the best pint of landlord in the world.

Brilliant food and wonderful atmosphere, log fires and very friendly staff, will be back no doubt about that.

Although a very pleasant setting, and excellent service, could do with moving the smoking out of the eating area altogether rather than waiting for smoking ban to come into force. But Service is fast and efficient ad very friendly

I had heard great things about this place. I eventually got round to going and.... WOW! Staff are very friendly and the food was just superb. In fact I have never eaten so much in my life, it was all so nice. Do yourself, your family and friends a favour, get booked in now! You will not regret it.

I promise you; You will not find a better place to eat at! We have been numerous times and we will be going back for years to come. There has never been a bad report written about Stefanos. I agree that the restaurant isn? the largest and it can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes (it adds to the atmosphere) but hey, think yourself lucky you've got a table. If you want to go at the weekend make sure you book WELL in advance. The restaurant operates two sittings which works very well. You never feel rushed whatever sitting you choose. The Food: Fantastic. Freshly cooked with passion and in an open kitchen. They have nothing to hide. The food comes to the table piping hot and there's always plenty of it. There's plenty of choice with a great range of specials both starters and mains. If you want a variation of something on the menu, just ask and Stefano will do his best to cater for you. Great choice of wine. Front of House; All of the staff are so friendly and ever so helpful and are quick to build a happy rapport with all. Everyone is treated like a best friend making for a superb atmosphere. You get what you pay for? You certainly do at Stefano's and some. You can't complain about the prices. They are very very fair. Before you ask; I am not a relative of the family. I write the truth. We love going to Stefano's. You will love going and once you've been once you'll go again and again. Richard & Gail
