Slab Brasserie – Margate5 star!
The Five Bells – RochesterAlways enjoy eating at the Black Horse... food and service is great in a fantastic setting.
The Black Horse Restaurant – AshfordHaving been recommended to the Chestfield Barn we previously had visited there for lunch , we loved it and all was great. A very attractive venue with a nice feel to it. A year later we booked for an evening meal, upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and our waiter was working for his 1st shift , he was very pleasant and helpful. We had starters and main course, the food was lovely however after we had finished eating our main meal it seemed that we had been forgotten about. We sat waiting for more than half an hour , watching the staff leaving , including our waiter, the staff were laying tables for the next day and chatting behind the bar. All the staff were walking around yawning and it was only 9pm. It seemed that they had completely forgotten us. In the end we had to call someone over, it made us feel as if we just wanted to leave. We feel very disappointed as the food was lovely …
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableMy wife and I have eaten here a number of times and never been disappointed which is why we keep returning. Everything about the restaurant is genuinely Italian, particularly the food and drinks menus. The food is always excellent and the ambience very relaxed and welcoming.
Vesuvius Restaurant – MaidstoneWe have been to the Bay Tree Hotel Broadstairs many times and we love it. The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is wonderful. This time it was great to meet their new member of staff Rosie who is a great addition to their team.
Bay Tree Restaurant – BroadstairsFood and service is amazing. Will come again when I come to Margate. Lovely venue inside and out, to enjoy great food and drinks under the sun!
Slab Brasserie – MargateHaving tried out all the Sunday lunches in various pubs between lockdowns, The Barn had the best Sunday Lunch; Plentiful meat, a variety of vegetables with speedy service. The lemon roulade is like a double portion. As it’s outside the hubbub, I have never had trouble booking a table. Cauliflower cheese would make it perfect ❤️
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableWhat an amazing find, perfect place for a chilled out sunny Sunday lunch. Great food and great selection of beers
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeThis wonderful place offers the best Italian food outside of Italy that we have found. All staff are extremely helpful and offer all the help they can to improve the experience.
Vesuvius Restaurant – MaidstoneBeautiful pub, great food and service.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeAnother great meal here with friends last night. A few new things on the menu since our last visit which we tried. All great as usual
Vesuvius Restaurant – MaidstoneFirst time at Chestfield Barn, as I had heard great things. On arrival we were a bit disappointed the tables were very close together, I could hear the conversation of the couple next to us. The not so dirty fries I had were okay , but not a lot of cheese and wasn’t expecting the chilli, as it’s not mentioned on the menu. My friend had the fish & chips, but the batter was overdone with a thin piece of cod. The end piece was a solid lump of overdone batter. All in all a disappointing meal. The waitress however was very friendly and helpful. Not sure we’ll be returning.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableLovely food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended and always good to find a family run restaurants. Super.
Vesuvius Restaurant – MaidstoneI've never felt so comfortable in a pub as I do at The Five Bells! Sam and her staff are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. My dog is always welcome and fussed over, and over the road by the river is a lovely place to walk off all the delicious and great value food we've enjoyed in the pub. I highly recommend the Sunday roast!
The Five Bells – RochesterStaff were very friendly but food took ages
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableNot local, but booked on a whim as a convenient location for a Sunday lunch when visiting relatives in Kent. Turned out to be a very good decision as the food and service were both excellent and the bar served a well kept pint of Master Brew (rather than the seemingly ubiquitous Spitfire in most Shepherd Neame places these days). The building itself was pretty interesting and characterful. I can strongly recommend this establishment and would definitely visit again when in the area.
