A good selection of traditional 'pub grub' on offer. Always a warm welcome, good quality food at reasonable prices. Sunday roasts are definitely worth a try too.

Rose and Crown – SittingbourneWe went to King Ethelbert twice as we were staying near by. The first time we were disappointed with the Sunday roast. The portions were too small and nothing special. However the second time we had two dishes from the main menu and it was very good.
King Ethelbert Inn – Herne BayFAB Love it Fantastic food - beetroot tart, burger, mushroom with cheese and walnut and the puddings......I will be back very soon!
BeBeached Cafe – MargateDisgusting behaviour from this pub - my 17 year old daughter received threatening behaviour from one of their stall for querying late table on mother's day at 3.00 pm - I am still trying to ring them to complain at 6.40pm and they are refusing to answer their phone even though I have been ringing them since 3.30pm.
The Tickled Trout – MaidstoneThis is a favourite restaurant , service wonderful Food exquisite .a mix between Indian and Chinese but more delicate and fragrant - rather than spicy with some interesting dishes , interior is modern but with pictures and artefact's from Nepal with subtle Nepalese music. I know you will be most welcome. brilliant
Gurkha Palace Nepalese Restaurant – FolkestoneGreat view, friendly staff, delicious, wholesome, healthy food, fair prices... Usually one of these is enough to encourage you to choose a specific cafe or restaurant, but at BeBeached you get all four! Today was only my second visit, as I do not live locally, but it was well worth venturing along the blustery harbour arm to receive such a warm welcome and good sustenance. Next time I am back in Margate I shall certainly return, come wind, rain, or crashing waves. I will also be recommending further. Thank you!
BeBeached Cafe – MargateA splendid find in an otherwise desert of good eating places. The position of the cafe gives a feeling of remoteness, whilst belying the easy access that is actually there. The food is simple and splendid, served with a smile and a chat.
BeBeached Cafe – MargateRecently used the acorn for a family birthday lunch - the food was excellent (plates hot, food piping hot and plenty of it.) Overall a very enjoyable experience at a reasonable price- good value for money
The Acorn – Birchingtonthe roast beef i had last sunday was top of the list.
The Royal Oak – Folkestonewe called in at the Napier hotel for a meal . the owners gave us such a welcome and the meals were outstanding . we stayed on till the evening whee when the locals came in there was a brilliant atmosphere nothing seemed to be to much trouble. helpful advice about the surrounding area was given freely by the owners and clientele. this is definitely a place we will be visiting again even if it's only for a meal definitely worth a visit.
Napier Hotel – Sheernessthe pub has recently changed hands again . i visited yesterday evening after a break of a number of weeks and had my usual battered cod and chips. The fish was old and tired as was the accompanying salad. Definitely not up to the usual v.g standard.I have found in the past. There is no email address to pass on my comments to the management? and I did not want to make a fuss on the night!!
The Royal – Whitstablegreat food and service, will go again and recommend to friends
Cafe De China – MargateVisited for a Sunday lunch. It was a miserable, wet day and the restaurant was packed with families of varying sizes, with lots of (well-behaved) kids, Son no.1 had the home made steak burger, which came with a decent salad. Excellent and very herby. No 2 loaded on the carb, opting for the bread basket and enormous chips, the size of Jenga pieces. My belly of pork was succulent with a crisp crackling served with black pudding wrapped in mash. The other half went for the two meat roast and was demolished with a very decent Rioja. The boys were defeated by the enormous slabs of gooey chocholate brownie cake. Well worth a visit and am looking forward to paying a return visit when the weather improves and we can enjoy the large pretty garden.
The Harrow – TonbridgeHad lunch hear in the Lemon Tree January 2011 starters , I had home made butter squash &seetcorn soup,my wife had stilton & leek For the our main course we both had the Roast of the day which was Lamb, cooked to perfection not pink as i requested,it came with all the trimming with two glasses of the house excellent,we were to full for a dessert
The Lemon Tree – TenterdenOne of the best restaurants I've been to. Food is excellent and so is the service. Highly recommended.
Epheseus Restaurant – OrpingtonFour of us ate at this restaurant last Saturday and every course was tasteless and or badly prepared. I would guess that the Scallops and the plaice were frozen rather than fresh. Service was poor for a restaurant charging nearly £50 a head for three courses. White wine was chilled to such a low temp we had to wait for it to warm before drinking and the look on the owner face when I asked for the red to be decanted was a dream although she did say of course Sir through almost gritted teeth. Considering a lot of Michelin star restaurants charge just £10 more I can not understand how an establishment like this is still in business. I serve better food than this in my own home on a daily basis
Souffle Restaurant – MaidstoneThe Royal is a very friendly, cosy pub, don't let the somewhat drab exterior deter. Enjoyed several wonderful Christmas Dinners here whilst visiting from Sweden. The Pub dining area is has been tastefully decorated and China collection would be the envy of many living rooms, this is balanced by the nautical theme of the bar area which looks out to sea. Great food, good portion sizes and suites even the fussy eater.
The Royal – WhitstableThe above statements are untrue and should not be posted , I thought this was a site that could be trusted this restaurant is a joke
