Great food and service

Loved the atmosphere in the pub. It was a little cold so had to keep my coat on for a bit but the open fire soon warmed me up. Staff were friendly and polite. Food was well executed but I did have to season my pie which was a little disappointing flavour wise. Hubby was left hungry after ordering the pork and it not coming with potato so could have had some advice on this at the point of ordering. As everything at the moment it was expensive 3 course with drinks costing £120 so more of a celebration dinner.

A rare Roast treat! I'd heard good things about the QA roast and it didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked from the thick slices of pink beef to the perfectly seasoned root veg puree. (only minor complaint was the plate wasn't hot so the food cooled quickly). The service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go again.

Another amazing Sunday roast. So delicious. The best roast in the area.

I went to the QA for Sunday lunch with my partner. This was our first time. For starters, we ordered the Honey Mustard Sausage Pops and QA Brie bites for starters. Both tasted delicious and the portion sizes were good! We followed this by both ordering the Roast Rump of British Beef. The roast dinner came with all the trimmings, including a side dish of cheese cauliflower. It didn’t disappoint! It was by far the best roast dinner I’ve had out! The service was excellent with the food coming out in good time. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning to try other dishes off the menu and another Sunday Roast!

We enjoyed the evening and loved the pie of the day, well, at least the shortcrust pastry. However there was hardly any beef in the pie itself. A great disappointment but we will return.

We had a nice meal ,but very disappointed with the NEW menu. The starters of our choice had run out and it was only 7.15pm. ( spicy prawn cocktail) No mushroom with steak meal ! We thought it was tad pricey. Probably won’t be back till the menu changes. Service was good , girls were friendly.

We went for Sunday lunch , one of us had the roast and 2 went for the venison pie and one the vegetarian lattice , all the meals were served with the roast lunch trimmings, including Yorkshire puddings . All were beautifully presented and delicious. The puddings were also delicious. We will certainly be returning.

Excellent meal. We had beef and chicken. Very tasty and service was prompt. Brownies and cheesecake were also excellent.

Lovely Sunday roast once again! Glad to have such a consistently great pub so close to my front door!

Been here twice lately and will be a regular, Staff very attentive and friendly. Food is fantastic.

We booked late but were really well looked after. The steak and chicken dishes were delicious and I was impressed with the fluffy texture of the chips. It was our 1st visit, we will be back.

Atmosphere and staff were excellent, as were the meals. Will definitely return!

Had an amazing 'pizza night' meal with friends. Lovely atmosphere, delicious Pizzas, great service and no rush to be moved on. Will be back

Excellent food as always!

We were a group of 6 going for Sunday lunch and we all loved it. The service and food were excellent and we didn’t feel rushed. Most of the group had a starter, roast and dessert whilst a couple had burgers from the outdoor area. Really enjoyable lunch - recommended.
