Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby Lonsdale
Kirkby Lonsdale is a historic market town located on the border between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales on the River Lune. Famous for it's Devils Bridge - a regular meeting place for motorcyclists and it's Victorian Fair held every September. There are many dining options including pubs, tearooms and hotels.
Love the Lunesdale ! The food, atmosphere and service is excellent. Great value.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleReally enjoyed the roast chicken dinner .
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe all had a prawn cocktail to start & which was disappointing, as it was just a couple of lettuce leaves, some prawns & loads of Marie Rose dressing on a plate. More effort is needed. The Sunday roasts were tasty. However, we never got asked if we wanted a coffee or dessert. I think there had been a change of staff.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleThe starter course of crumpet with goat’s cheese was simple but well presented and tasty. The main course was ribeye steak with chips and salad. The steak was probably the worst I have ever encountered. Only a third of it was edible - the rest of it was gristle and fat. I would have returned the dish but I didn’t want disrupt my guest’s meal. Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWent for Sunday lunch with four other people. Very impressed with the service, food, decor & ambience. The only issue was that the draft beer was 'off'...
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFood was excellent as was the service. The only comment I would make is that portions are very large and for us it was too much. We will definitely be back though
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleVery good evening with excellent food and service. Well done to Jasmine who was on her first shift. The Lamb was excellent and I can recommend it. The ambiance is very relaxing and enjoyable too. Well done to all involved.

Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe love the Lunesdale Arms and we always come here when we are visiting our son at Lancaster University. The meal is of very high quality and the service is too. There is a very good selection, meat and fish dishes and pasta all delicious and a very varied starter menu. Love the fantastic array of puddings wheeled out on the portable menu. the ambience is always good and its great to finish off with a game of snooker too.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food and service. We all enjoyed our meal and drinks. Thank you to all you staff who worked well and are very friendly and helpful. Thanks we’ll see you again Mike
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe are fairly regularly visitors and rhe food is always top notch. Great service from the staff too. And a lovely drive through the Lune Valley from Lancaster to get there. What more could you possibly want?
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFor the first time in more than a year, we booked a table at 6pm last Saturday to enjoy an evening meal. We were made very welcome, and as one of us is wheelchair-bound, we were given a table on the level floor. Our meal was excellent, we each had three courses and a couple of drinks, and the price was very reasonable. The girls serving us were friendly, helpful and hard working. We hope to return soon !
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleOutstanding service and food
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely very welcoming helpful staff. Nice food too but unfortunately we all felt cold. The lovely wood burner wasn’t lit and the electric heater on the wall was cold. We did ask if the heater could be turned on but it wasn’t. I had to keep a scarf wrapped around me. Because of that I felt it affected the atmosphere. We came to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday and she’s 85 so she felt the coldness and we also had a toddler who felt cold too. We still enjoyed our time together but think we would have felt more comfortable if we had some warmth.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleCalled in for lunch with our Chocolate Lab. Very friendly welcome and dog treats provided. Lovely food and great service
