One of the better Indian restaurants in the fylde. Flavoursome dishes, good service, nice atmosphere. I would eat here again.
Buraq – KirkhamI was part of a party attending a Christmas get together at the villa but due to snow icy roads and freezing fog we cancelled. However we had paid a £10 per head deposit and was told this was not refundable fair enough but wishing to rebook in January we asked if our deposits could be used the answer was no. We feel this is short sited as the hotel would have had our booking ,so we will be looking to book another restaurant .
The Villa Country House Hotel – KirkhamJust got home from Hand and Dagger after a lovely meal, cosy fire, very friendly and helpful staff. We passed loads of pubs on the way home from a day out and thank goodness they were all shut or we wouldn't have discovered this lovely pub just 10 minutes from our home. I would recommend the Hand and Dagger highly to anyone. Keep up the good work Martin and staff !
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamFantastic food and a guaranteed warm and friendly welcome
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamWhat an absolute gem! I took my girlfriend here on Saturday night for her birthday and am happy to say it was an excellent choice. The restaurant itself is beautiful and stylish with metallic artwork, fantastic decor and a baby grand piano (I believe they have a pianist on Sundays which I hope to experience). We were greeted and seated at the bar on arrival and had the pleasant surprise of a small plate of canapés brought to us (complimentary). This consisted of small crunchy seafood bon bons, huge green olives and a smooth seafood mousse for dipping, delightful. The actual meal was outstanding. I had the ham hock terrine to start which came with smoked garlic puree and a warm egg yolk served on a slate. This was exceptional, the flavours married together brilliantly and the presentation was first rate. For Mains I had the selection of fish and my partner had roast sirloin of beef. Both were excellent although I was certainly more impressed with my starter. The Dessert, for me, was the 'Pièce de résistance'. I was very close to ordering 'Chocolate three ways', but thought I would be a little more adventurous and try the 'Banana Bavarois with Peanut Butter Ice Cream'.... Nice? It was an absolute delight to eat; there were four textures on the plate which alone were just nice but when all four were applied to the same mouthful it was an absolute dream to devour. Such a shame that at this point I was so full of modern British goodness I couldn't find room to try the cheeses. Which, by the way, have their own trolley! I think they have about 20 cheeses to choose from and Bevan, the manager can talk you through the cheeses at the table (we witnessed the ladies on the next table getting the cheese tour). To get all this in classy surroundings should have cost the two of us £100 for the food alone, it was only £35! I am not just recommending this restaurant; I am telling you to go!
The Tapas Bar and Restaurant – Kirkhami love the bell and bottle, except for the potatoes, they are mouldy and smelly!!!!!!
Bell and Bottle, The – KirkhamGreat food, nice place, friendly and professional service. Very good value for money too.
Buraq – KirkhamJust had the best steak in this cozy friendly pub on the canal - would highly recommend.
Hand and Dagger – Kirkhamits well nice n fast
Nile, The – KirkhamGood food and reasonably priced. Enjoyed a nice meal this evening with my father.
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamHad a very good meal here tonight, well presented and beautifully cooked. Restaurant was packed but service was spot on thanks to our waitress Emma, many thanks and will be back..
The Villa Country House Hotel – Kirkhamjust to let people know if u have highlife book first even thou it doesn't say in the book we have one and were refused on a Monday night that was very quiet. the funny thing was the owners had been in our restaurant with highlife, not booked and did we refuse NO WE DID NOT
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamBeing a local to the area, I have eaten at this Indian restaurant many times, and it is far one of the best, if not THE BEST in the area/fylde coast. I would not hesitate in recommending the establishment to anyone who has a requirement for excellent food, a large choice of varied strength curries and it has a perfect ambience & general modern decor. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Having read other reviews commenting on the table water not being tap water... If you want tap water, order a take away and eat at home! This is a top class restaurant in all aspects and I would be disgusted if I asked for table water and got tap water. I have never experienced any mistakes or poor quality food, and have always been seated & served in a timely manner. I would rate this indian restaurant 9.5/10... the only draw back being the car park is far too small!
Ashiana Tandoori Restaurant – KirkhamThe new homemade steak pie I have just tried one of the new home made steak pies and can say without a doubt that they are the best steak pies I have ever tasted They are full of real meaty chunks of steak and the gravy is absolutely beautiful. Get yourself down there and try one you won't be disappointed Kev T
Dawsons – KirkhamThere were a few mistakes made by the kitchen. The wrong meal was given to one of our party and part of a dish came out late. However the food was good and the problems were dealt with excellently by the professional front of house team. Therefore i would have no hesitation to recommend the Grapes. Great setting too.
Grapes – KirkhamWent for an early mothers day meal on Saturday just gone and while I had heard/read that the food is good here I was still pleasantly surprised. I ordered the black pudding 'doughnut' for starters and the venison main course and both were really nice, big portion sizes and extremely rich. Everybody else in my party seemed to enjoy theirs too. This is a great traditional pub with good food and good ale. If the chef reads this and you noticed a venison dinner come back to the kitchen unfinished on Saturday evening then that was me, I was just too full to carry on and that is not a reflection on what I thought of the dish (I used to be a chef and know it can be upsetting to see plates with food still on). Marks out of 10?... 8. only because I thought the food was bordering on being too rich. Not been? Give it a go.
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamYou really can't fault the Buraq, top quality food (and lots of it) excellent service and very good value for money.
Buraq – KirkhamThe menu is just superb, service is great. A wide array to tantalize every taste buds. The curries are fantastic and the kebab is scrumptious with massive amount of salad and sauce.
