Buraq – Kirkhamafter eating here my taste buds are hungry for more of their home made locally sourced appetising food i would recommend this restaurant to anyone A+ 5 stars Thank You so much for a wonderful meal i will be back soon :) keep it up
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamThe Eagle and Child offers superb, fresh locally produced food, with an extensive and interesting menu. Special board changes at regular intervals, helpings are lavish, and although not cheap by chain pub standards, represent excellent value. The staff and service is superb. I have eaten there many times and hope to do so many times more. Cannot recommend this more highly
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamThe Bell and Bottle was once a family orientated, friendly welcoming pub/restaurant. Now it has become one of the country’s rapidly increasing 2 for 1chains, spewing out luke warm MICROWAVED food served by helpless staff. Upon ordering you have to endure a 45 minute wait listening to crap music with zero atmosphere, just hope you’re in good company or else this wait can become very boring indeed. Once the food has arrived it is usually missing something from the menu like dips, the steaks will be overdone no matter how you ordered it, the potatoes won’t be what you ordered and the salad will be limp. The atmosphere is so dire you almost feel it a crime to laugh, the drinks are far too expensive, the food is rubbish, and there are none of your usual pub qualities like pool table, dart board, sport television, juke box and the most obvious factor: a severe lack of people enjoying themselves.
Bell and Bottle, The – Kirkhamthis takeaway is one of the best. food is always excellent mixed meat curry and shredded crispy beef are our favorites with salt and pepper ribs yum yum. try it out you will not be disappointed. phone your order in as it mainly very busy
East Ocean Chinese Takeaway – KirkhamTypical of the way these big chains are taking over the great British pub. The same thing is happening to cafes with brands like Costa Coffee and Cafe Nero wiping the floor with the small businessman. The food here is not very good, they are now a two-for-one on the food so while you are saving money on your meal they are stinging you with the price of the ale. Do not order a short drink and unless you have your cheque book do not order a double! It is nearly three quid for a pint aswell. And the bastards got rid of the pool table too. I aint happy.
Bell and Bottle, The – KirkhamThe food and ambiance of the Ashiana were wonderful. My party had pre dinner drinks and then ordered a carafe of wine, cokes for the non-drinkers, and a jug of tap water to accompany the meal. Nothing was said as the order was taken but during the meal it transpired that it is the Ashiana's policy not to give out tap water. I think this is outrageous.
Ashiana Tandoori Restaurant – Kirkhamvery dissapointed poor
The Villa Country House Hotel – Kirkhamwhat a bunch of jolly old inbread kirkhamers. your all wierd and tapt. never ever go to kirkham unless you want to be beatten up and possibly killed. bunch of weak hearted weak minded people. oh and neil you stumpy arse with your pice of brainded meat you call your wife haha yes thats right dawn. oh and they never sell food just dodgy fags they brought back from spain. byee
Stable Bar – KirkhamWent last Saturday night with my wife on the recommendation of our son, it's not the type of cuisine we would normally consider but am glad we did. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent if rather slow in coming which didn't bother us as we were in no hurry. Will definitely go again!
Orathai Restaurant – KirkhamThe Bell and Bottle is now a Marstons 'Two for One' restaurant / pub and in January 2008 underwent a total refurbishment. It now has a large car park, and has nice modern decor. There are a choice of tables, sofas and outside seating. Sadly the meals are not at all great - the Sunday Roasts are watery and lack taste, and the various chicken dishes are bland, although I do recommend the Swordfish meal. If you want a better tasting meal and are prepared to pay a higher price, Salvatore's Italian is about 50 metres further up the road (the old Highgate Inn) and offers better value for true foodies!
Bell and Bottle, The – KirkhamThis has got to be the best Indian restaurant in the North West. Food is delicious, excellent service and therefore wouldn't entertain going any where else. Even Roy Chubby Brown was eating there last time we went, now he is a Fat B****** and if its good enough for Chubby, it's good enough for me!
Buraq – Kirkhamwoo harry and caz are the best but caz is better and tariq is a big bossy person and cha cha is a very cool kitchen kid :) WOOP WOOP wacas has a cool pink tie(H) lol lol lol lol lol we love the restaurant and spesh harry and caz :D:D:D:D(H)(H)(H)
Buraq – KirkhamHave driven past here on my way to work for 3 years and thought we would try it. We were amazed by the food, value and relaxed atmosphere. Most of all the service is excellent and that is why we continue to visit time and time again.
Buraq – KirkhamI had another excellent meal here recently. This place is dead consistent, really good food, local produce, simple, cooked well. My girlfriend and I love it here, we often drag other people along with us too! The lamb rump is often on the specials and it is fabulous. In fact, the whole menu is brimming with mouth-watering dishes. Service is really good, not what you expect in a pub at all, the waiting staff and bar staff are all real customer service professionals, they are always very polite, helpful and most of all, discreet. The setting is also very romantic - rustic and cosy. And if you don't live in Wrea Green, then the journey over there always builds the anticipation too. Can't believe they haven't got their menus on Sugarvine!
Grapes – KirkhamThe Queens Arms was recently taken over by Stephen Mitchell who has made much needed changes including re decorating, Plasma Screens, Heated smoking areas and a whole new catering kitchen with great "pub grub" style menu which has a good traditional feel. The price and service is great and they will try to meet your needs IE if its not on the menu but they can make it, they will!. They do great traditional home made Sunday lunch which is all freshly home made and available as a roast barm! so why not pop in to try it out its great atmosphere, good food, Company.... Enjoy!!!
Queens Arms, The – KirkhamWe have been regulars to the Sawatadee before it changed hands. I must say it was excellent before and still is. There are a few Thai restaurants around in the area but this one is the best. The man that runs the front of house is lovely so friendly and remembers us every time we come. A must to try is the Satays and the Orathai bites. Also the Green and Red curry are good to try for a main course. A must visit if you are in the area and like good food with nice staff.
Orathai Restaurant – KirkhamGreat location lovely rural setting. However, service all round was very disappointing. The breakfast service terrible. Rooms ok but the bed the worse I have ever slept in. For the price we could have got alot better. Don't think we would return
