Buraq – KirkhamWe were disappointed with our experience. There was no atmosphere at all in the restaurant - it was completely dead and yet they still awkwardly sat another couple right beside us. We got the sharing platter for 2. The burgers were underwhelming - really thin with no salad or onions. Just a burger and bun. The rest of the platter was fine. On a positive note, the staff were lovely. Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWe had booked. Excellent service, all staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Food was lovely too and good value. The restaurant was busy at 6.30 when we arrived.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWe visited Buraq on Friday for a family meal, 17 of us,. We were welcomed at the door and shown to our seats by friendly staff. The food was superb and they catered to our Gluten Intolerance and vegan family members. The atmosphere was lovely too. Would definitely go back and would recommend it others.
Buraq – KirkhamExcellent food and service really enjoyed all the flavours and we was really well looked after thanks
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWent here yesterday and thought it would be similar to hickory’s. It was not. The kids meal and deserts were good, but I ordered the ribs and they was so fatty, I didn’t eat any of them. The chips were really nice, overall the service was slow, and quite poor.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamBooked a table for 03/08/24 when we arrived there were two regulars it looked like at the bar ,we weren't sure who to advise that we had a booking as it wasn't made clear ,it wasn't particularly busy in the bar area although 1 girl looked to be run off her feet with drinks orders whilst other members of staff stood around after 5mins the girl from the bar said she would be with us soon for drinks and did let someone i assume the manager know we had booked a table, which they decided to then organise for us by which time id lost interest as they weren't filling me confidence from the get go do we decided to leave as just didn't feel welcome.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamVery good place to eat at, food is apsolute class. Been a few times now and it's banging every time, will be back every fortnight for some more top tier scran.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWent here yesterday (2/8/24) for a mate date and I have to say the food was excellent. I had the shrimp as starter and they were brilliant. The sauce was well balanced and they were cooked to perfection. My mate had the wings which fell apart and were full of meat. Well worth ordering them as a starter. 10/10. As the main I had the OG burger and it was brilliant. Burgers were grilled to perfection and the bacon was sweet but smoky and complimented the cheese superbly. Only thing I would ask for is some chunky red onion on the burger, however there was a lot of 'slaw with red onion in it, however I smothered my fries in it. 9/10. My mate had the brisket as his main and that was out of this world. The meat literally melted in the mouth (the little bit he gave me!) safe to say it was gone in moments as it really was that good. I drank Amstel and he drank Camden but unfortunately he drank them out of Camden haha! 2 starters and 2 mains plus (I think?) 9 or 10 pints between us for a smidge over £90. Well worth the amount for the quality of food and the service we received. I look forward to trying Thors Hammer when it's available! I want to be the first to set the standard! Definitely will be visiting again soon.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamFood was ok brisket was nice Staff lovely the young girl Alicia was very attentive and had a smile on her face all the way through Only thing I'd suggest is offering drinks when sat down the girl that sat us just walked off whilst we looked at menu Apart from that we enjoyed it
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamService was good and staff attentive. Food was mediocre at best. Frozen corn, ‘hot dog’ that was more soggy than snap and chicken that was dry and tasteless. For a smokehouse the meat was poor. The one saving grace was kids ate for £1 or else I would have expected some meals to be credited onto the bill.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamAlways excellent friendly service. Food is delicious. Reasonable price. Can highly recommend the Lamb Desi Masala
Buraq – KirkhamI really wanted to like this place as I really admire what the owners are trying to do. Unfortunately it was only okay - food service was rather slow, food was okay (didn’t feel or taste like it had been in-house smoked as it tasted just like supermarket ribs and chicken). Had to chase to order, find out where food was, get bill etc. Overall a bit disappointing
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWe booked a table for 7.15, actually got our food at 8.30. We had to ask for drinks. I asked for a Tia Maria and come I actually got a pint of coke with ice, a glass with Tia Maria in and a glass of ice. No coke available , the boys had to have coke zero in bottles. They boys really enjoyed their burger. The barbecue ribs were awful, the thickest, tangiest barbecue sauce we've ever tasted, we couldn't eat it. Chips, corn and coleslaw were lovely.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWell, I booked a table for 2 online, very easy and problem free. We arrived in good time and were shown to our table. We were just left there, no offer of drinks even. I went to the bar to order some drinks where I found no staff. We just left. I can't recommend food as we didn't get that far, service was non existent.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamExcellent as always
Buraq – KirkhamGreat find near Ribby Hall
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamReally poor food quality - burger patties were worse than a burger van and completely tasteless - food was essentially a standard pub menu with bbq sauce on stuff. Was initially sceptical of a smokehouse who have Heinz bbq sauce on the tables, should have listened to my gut. We won’t be eating here again
