Newdrop Inn – LongridgeGreat pub, great restaurant in gods county Lancashire!
Derby Arms – LongridgeMy son took me for Mothers Day and what a wonderful afternoon it was. Lovely service and the food was fab. A lamb roast, pot pie and venison were enjoyed by all! In a lovely pub with views over Longridge fell at the back
Derby Arms – LongridgeWe are a group of four who have gone out together every week for years. would recommend you give it a try. It's never disappointed, and we are fussy! Home made food that's fantastic hot and service second to none. And not just that but a fantastic price.
Ferrari’s Country House Hotel and Restaurant – LongridgeI have been quite frequently since it has reopened and I love it, it has a very friendly atmosphere, clean and very welcoming. The food is top rate and very good value for money. I cant wait until my next visit!
The Alston – LongridgeOn a recent caravan weekend when the weather was miserable, my wife, my young daughter and myself decided to lunch in the Sun Inn. On entering ,the barman made us feel welcome from the start, the pub felt homely with a roaring fire in the hearth and the ale was as it should be. The food menu was fine and the staff were very accommodating and understanding of my young daughters eating preferences, the food itself was beautifully presented and cooked exactly to our taste. Needless to say we stopped rather longer than we intended, it was one of the few pubs these days where we felt completely at home and welcome. A very well deserving 5 stars from us. Thank you the Sun Inn.
Sun Inn – LongridgeI recently visited The Ginger Bakers for afternoon ( Gluten Free) tea.
The Ginger Baker – LongridgeOur ladies that lunch group went for Sunday Lunch at Gibbon Bridge. The food was lovely as per usual and the gardens are always a delight, never moreso than in spring.
Gibbon Bridge Hotel – LongridgeBrilliant restaurant, friendly staff, good food and a fantastic atmosphere. You are always made to feel welcome. So what if it gets a bit hectic at times, if it wasn't good it wouldn't be busy is what I say. You may have to wait at busy times but sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine. If you want fast foot go to McDonalds!
Francos – LongridgeVisited recently for Sunday lunch. The interior was pleasant, if perhaps a little restrained/sterile and appeared to be very clean. Staff were attentive but not overbearing, perhaps a little more aloof than one has become accustomed to in most Thai restaurants but they were also busy setting up.The food was good, certainly above average and was well presented. There were plenty of choices, including some that I had not come across before. All were keenly priced. It was very quiet for what is usually a busy period for most restaurants. We were the only diners initially and saw just two other couples subsequently. Hopefully word will spread, as there aren't many Thai restaurants over this side of Lancashire and I think that this one has the potential to become a good one. It's in a nice location and there's plenty of free parking available. I would definitely recommend others to give it a try.
Thai Paragon – LongridgeIf you want good food this is not the place. Over priced takes ages to arrive 45mins for starter 50 mins for main course .Starter was fine prawn cocktail main course pasta was terrible ,there is plenty of better restaurants in the area give this one a miss.
Francos – LongridgeThis Indian Restaurant has to be one of the best around, we eat there on average twice sometimes three times a month. The food is always excellent, even when it's packed to the rafters. Top marks to the chef who is often overlooked. The prices are good. The waiting on staff are always friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work,
Hamadan – LongridgeHAVE BEEN GOING REGULARLY SINCE 1982. IT HAS JUST GOT BETTER AND BETTER NEVER HAD A POOR MEAL YET, HAVE TAKEN MANY FRIENDS OVER THE YEARS WHO ALL SAY WHEN CAN WE GO AGAIN. WHEN IT WAS MY LATE AUNT AND UNCLES 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY THERE WAS ONLY ONE PLACE THEY WANTED TO GO, ARTHUR MARGARET TED AND I ALWAYS TOAST THEM WHEN WE COME AND THANK THEM FOR INTRODUCING US TO THE D AND P ALL THOSE YEARS AGO.
The Dog and Partridge – LongridgeTerrible. Over 25 mins to take your order and over 40 mins to get your main. Food was bland and overcooked. My steak was charred to a frazzle and although it said the antipasto comes with crusty bread it turned up with a stale piece of brown bread. Overpriced, uninspiring and service non existent.
Francos – LongridgePotted shrimps to die for!!!!
Newdrop Inn – LongridgeThe food is absolutely brilliant with excellent portion sizes that are mouthwateringly tasty. The service and waitresses can not be faulted in the slightest. When you walk in the pub you get a welcoming vibe from everyone around you and I would definetly recommend a visit. Particulary on the chip shop nights( Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) when you can get tasty meals for just £5.50. Your missing out if you do not visit!!!!!!!!!!
The Alston – LongridgeFabulous place, amazing quality of food, superb traditional home cooked food, staff most friendly indeed, cosy and warm, comfortable dining area, well spaced, not squashed in, (unlike some places) the service excellent. Would recommend without hesitation, first time visitor, and will be a long time customer. Used to visit the derby arms, not any more, the dog has most certainly won us over.
The Dog and Partridge – LongridgeThis place is nirvana, lovely people, fantastic food and 1st class service. I have had many indian meals in many cities but this place is the best I have ever been to and the prices are breathtaking. You get the best of both worlds here, quality food and very low prices. The house wine was excellent as well and for a restaurant very well priced. This place sets the standard for others to beat. Make a visit to this marvellous restaurant, you wont be disappointed, I was astounded.
