Quattro’s – OrmskirkI visited recently with my mum and dad who hadn't been back to the Shepherds rest since they were both teenagers. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious, we all opted for the Sunday Roast and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenExcellent service. Lovely food. Highchair provided for the child.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWhat a great place. We met family here as a 1/2 way point. Great place. Great location. They had given us a table upstairs, which was fab , window seat, looking at the water. Staff were lovely. Menu was great. We had 3 vegetarian options & 1 meat dish. Would definitely go again.
The Waterwitch – LancasterBeautiful decor and a warm welcome ,we booked for my partners birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal he had surf and turf and he said the steak was one of the best he’d had and it was cooked to perfection he then ordered cheesecake and it arrived with happy birthday hand written in chocolate on the plate which made his night . We will definitely book again ,
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenAnother good meal at Verdes. Selected from the Offer Menu, the starters were excellent and much larger than anticipated. The mains were good, though one of our party found that the Tortellini Gorgonzola seemed to be lacking in the gorgonzola content. Desserts were lovely too. Enjoyable evening, thank you Verdes
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyReally nice Sunday lunch, every element on the plate perfectly cooked and nicely presented. Decent fish and chips, especially the chips. Lovely staff and very well kept Robinson’s beer. Chef, if you’re bothered, I personally think the sauces for the squid (also perfectly cooked by the way) should be on the side so we can dip. I was desperate to find something you could improve and that’s the best I can do. Bravo.
Wagon and Horses – LancasterWe absolutely enjoyed our food the staff were fantastic
The Hapton Inn – BurnleyGreat pub food, cosy pub and fast service! Excellent value all round Would come again
The Traders Arms – BlackburnFabulous food 1st time there but definitely going again Great service
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe visited for a family Sunday lunch and I honestly can’t remember having a better one in recent years. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, there was plenty of veg and cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets sides were a tasty addition. The food was supremely well presented and clearly cooked with top quality ingredients and with great care. The desserts too were delicious and the berry compote with the cheesecake was so rich and fruity. Being really picky, the cinder toffee was a touch burnt and the Yorkshire puddings slightly underdone, it that did not detract from a memorable meal. The music was a bit loud too. The venue is really smart and modern and has a relaxed vibe with comfy seats and decent sized tables. The staff were attentive, polite and professional and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a special Sunday lunch. Can’t wait to return and try the main menu.
