Toms Table – ClitheroeA lovely first visit to Tom's Table in Clitheroe. I am not a local - the bistro was recommended by several colleagues. We had snacks to start - the sticky chipolata sausages & breads - both lovely, although the tiny cube of butter really was tiny. We both had the butcher's choice steak [10oz sirloin], accompanied with fries, salad & sauces - all absolutely lovely - the steak was cooked perfectly & as requested. If I had a tiny criticism [I really am nit picking], the red wine sauce did need reducing just a tad more - not quite at the 'sticky stage.' We did not have room for dessert as the 10oz steak was huge! Service was also excellent - attentive & friendly not intrusive. Again, if I had a tiny criticism, the staff need a little more knowledge of the wine menu. The price was reasonable too - we were happy to leave a tip. Definitely will return & will recommend to others. Ideal location - right next to car park & a lovely court yard area for when the weather is fine.
