Bread and Butter – PrestonDelicious food, great wines and brilliant service. We love Quattros!
Quattro’s – OrmskirkEverything was great. They looked after us, a party of 15, fairly late booking. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent, the staff are friendly and efficient.
The Station Hotel – LancasterAnother excellent evening at the Station, great food, beer in fine fettle and friendly, helpful staff.
The Station Hotel – LancasterCelebrated my 70th birthday with family and friends. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. I think between the 13 of us we managed to have most of the a la carte menu and no one was disappointed with what they ate. Would highly recommend Toms Table for the food and ambience as well as the lovely staff
Toms Table – ClitheroeIntroduced my friends to South Planks and we had a fantastic lunch. The staff were very obliging, especially after my arrival 40 minutes late due to roadworks! Two of us had the daily salad bowl with feta, which was fresh, plentiful and delicious, and the third in our party had "the best bacon sandwich she'd ever had out" with the tomatos and mushrooms on the side. Again a generous portion size. One of my friends is planning to return next week with other friends, which is a great recommendation. The only disappointment was that the shop had stopped selling the furnishings and knick knacks, as we had planned a browse round afterwards, but that may be out of the cafe's control.
Planks Kitchen – PrestonThis was a better experience than the previous impromptu visit for drinks only, where a grumpy and rude Barmaid Failed to say that the pub was closing at 2.30 on a beautiful sunny afternoon. This was only announced after I had Paid 13.00 for 2 pints of lager shandy at 2.15 p.m ….. Other people in the beer garden confirmed a very similar experience and were equally unhappy. So I vowed not to return, But my friend wished to try the food So we did, on bank holiday Monday. The table was nice. Atmosphere good, the food was nice and the service was ok. I do find it irritating that there is no real place to sit with drinks and there is a demand for your table back after one And a Half or two hours depending on the size of your party. When buying two bottles of not inexpensive Prosecco and three pints of similarly not inexpensive Beer, one would appreciate being Guided to some comfortable seating area to finish drinks without hurry or pressure. This detracted from the experience for me because there appeared to be nowhere for this and we were certainly not directed to such a place during the three Times we Were asked to vacate our Table still with drinks . This meant that whilst the food was reasonable for the price , I left feeling like it was more Of a food factory than a pub dining and drinking Experience .
