Pros: great food, good drinks menu, most staff are friendly. If you want middle aged rowdy, rather than fake ID rowdy with the kids in the bars further down, it’s ideal. Downside: deafeningly noisy. Having to talk loudly all through your meal so the person next to you can just about hear you, is draining. Also, it’s small plates that come in waves, and our sultry waiter just placed the new plates he brought on top of the old ones, rather than taking them away, until it was such a cramped mess, we cleared some of it away ourselves and put them on the bar. Bear in mind this venue is a bar as well as a restaurant, and there’s no real divide between the two, so avoid weekend evenings if you’re looking for a relaxing meal out.
