The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallEverything on the menu in this restaurant is incredible especially the Sunday roast. Always piping hot and very good portions. The special Spanish chicken was excellent. Service is brilliant and very friendly staff. The Fairground dessert is sensational and not just for children!!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWent for Sunday lunch with four other people. Very impressed with the service, food, decor & ambience. The only issue was that the draft beer was 'off'...
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleGreat food as always friendly staff good service
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallFirst time here for valentines night.Arrived parking outside walked round to the entrance all decorated for the night. Greeted at the bar seating at the kitchen bar left side within minutes. The chef and staff were working very hard all night.Chef passed some king prawns over said a little thing to be going on with.we had ordered a set menu prior so a nice gesture. Food was Orkney scallops served hot very well presented.Main was chateaubriand for 2 with chips and vegetables. The main was cooked to perfection served with style. All staff worked tirelessly all night everyone in the kitchen from the chef to the pan girl dessert team steak guy prep team were spot on. A very well run kitchen with a head chef who worked very very hard all night. Well done you guys we will certainly be back and will bring friends.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenA great experience from start to finish. This place was very busy on valentines evening and got there 10 min before my reservation. Usually in some places you would expect slight delays or even some loss in quality of service, Not here for sure. We was seated right away and the staff are very nice and helpful and really make you feel welcome. After ordering the food came in good time considering how busy it was. Was the food good ? No! it was fantastic ! food is really really good here and was expecting to get a second mortgage to pay the bill. But best part is its not even that expensive they have similar prices to just a normal run of the mill pub lunch but with vastly superior quality. I will and have and continue to recommend this place to anyone.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkA very disappointing visit to The Ship for a family meal out. Food was very average and seemed quite overpriced for what you got. Unfortunately, our visit collided with a lively group of mainly men stood around the bar, which was quite intimidating when we entered. Their language was foul and a heated argument erupted so the atmosphere was definitely not relaxing! This was not what we were expecting to deal with in front of our three sons. A woman was also openly vaping in front of bar staff and nothing was said to her. The behaviour of other guests should have been dealt with more appropriately. A man apologised for his language on our way out but our evening had been ruined. We were barely there for an hour and asked for the bill as soon as we’d finished. I think the restaurant has changed owners a couple of times in the last few years but it’s safe to say we won’t be returning any time soon.
Ship Inn – LancasterGood food and excellent service
The Hapton Inn – BurnleyHad a lovely lunch on Valentine’s Day. 3 courses beautifully presented and very tasty food. Hi you won’t be disappointed.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeFood was below average, definitely not worth the visit and not worth the wait. The staff were not very attentive, we weren’t offered drinks and had to get drinks from the bar even though we were seated in the restaurant area. We ordered steaks with chips which took a while to come out, and when they did come the chips didn’t come with the steaks. We ended up finishing our steaks before the chips arrived which was disappointing. I understand they have a tapas menu but I thought steak and chips would come out together we brought this issue to a manager with red hair, she was very dismissive and rude. Will not be returning.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenFantastic place and fantastic food. Been going here for years and never had a bad time. Service brilliant as always. Can't wait to go back already
Site Pizzeria – TodmordenFabulous afternoon tea, well presented. The bread and fillings of the sandwiches were really fresh, lovely selection of cakes and scones too! There was a warm and friendly atmosphere in the cafe.
The Barn – PrestonDisappointing Valentine’s Evening meal. Menus not ready when we arrived and service poor. We expected the main menu to be available alongside the Valentine’s one. Lots of dishes unavailable so choice was limited. Spoke to other diners and they were of the same opinion. Will not be visiting again.
Ship Inn – LancasterGood service. Amazing food. Great value!
