The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallMy partner and I recently went for a meal on a Saturday evening. The layout looks great from when you walk in. It is very modern looking and looked very vibrant. We were attended to very promptly and the menu looked good. The service was very attentive with lots of staff on their toes and buzzing around. The table layout meant that there was a long row of tables with a small gap between tables. Unfortunately, it appeared to be a main route for the staff to pass by our table and ocassionally, our table was caught by staff members walking past. I am afraid that it totally spoilt our meal and we had to hold onto our drinks glasses every time a staff member walked past.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenWe had the cheese and onion pie and the rump steak. Hard to find a good steak anywhere and it was brilliant, as was cheese an onion pie. Chips were also brill.
