3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeAbsolutely amazing! Staff really friendly. Food feels like you’re aboard. Beef melts in your mouth. Atmosphere great. Busy which shows how amazing this place is.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallGreat food, great service
The Traders Arms – BlackburnI tried to phone to book for 2 days and nobody answered the phone, so I booked online. When we attended they didn't know about our booking. The table available was dirty and they said they would clean it. After about 15 minutes I went and asked for a cloth and the member of staff came and cleaned it. We didn't receive table service so I ordered at the bar. I then watched as everyone else (even people who came in and ordered after me) were served their food. Just as I was about to speak to the staff about this the food arrived. I had ordered a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw. The cheese had been over melted in the microwave and I received the smallest ramekin of coleslaw I have ever seen. Not a great experience and definitely not like past times when I have been here. Sad!!!! I felt I was in the home of the staff not a pub. This business will fail in this current climate if they don't sort this out in my opinion.
The Golden Ball Hotel – MorecambeThere was a large group in the restaurant area who were incredibly loud and obnoxious. On paying our bill the staff present agreed that they were very loud but that they didnt want to challenge them aa they felt they had had too much alcohol!! Surely the staff should have done this. It ruined our meal and do not feel like we will return.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallOne word - AMAZING! Visited the restaurant for the first time yesterday after many attempts before which we have had to cancel due to illness etc. It was worth the wait and we'll definitely be back. So glad to have this little gem on our doorstep. Thanks to all the staff for their attention to detail (my husband has a dairy allergy and they were so accomodating suggesting and making alternatives for him so he could enjoy the experience. You all made my birthday very special!
Brizola Bar & Grill – ClitheroeThis was probably the best meal I’ve ever had at lunch time, everything was fantastic from the start to the finish. We decided to go for lunch for a treat to ourselves on our 51st anniversary, we asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside, we decided to sit inside because it was a bit windy, on saying that a lot of people decided to sit outside. We we’re shown to our table by a lovely lady, I think her name was Kath. She was really nice and friendly, I ask for a bottle of Moretti and I said could I have a glass of Chenin Blanc, and I said if my wife likes it I will order a bottle. She then said would we would like a taster, she then brought us 2 tasting glasses to try the wine, never had that service before. We ordered the wine and said we would have the 3 course menu, for a snack before our lunch, which was Herb & Garlic Baked Camembert with homemade breads, very tasty. We then ordered the Chicken Liver & Grand Marnier Pậté Toms chutney & sourdough bread , also very tasty, for our main meal my wife ordered the Provençale Chicken ratatouille, baked new potatoes & wild garlic pesto and I had the Fish du Jour saffron rice, greens, tomato & shellfish velouté, I also ordered a side dish of Baked New Potatoes roast garlic & allotment herbs, absolutely perfection. We both had the same sweet which was Sticky Ginger Parkin Yorkshire rhubarb & stem ginger, butterscotch sauce & clotted cream. Yummy yummy. Thank you everyone for making the day so perfect.
