Absolutely beautiful food
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallThe meal was very tasty and the service was very good.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterWe go to Quattro's often. Actually, it is the only place that we eat out in Ormskirk because it's just so good. Yesterday, the place was heaving and in most restaurants that would impact upon the quality of service/waiting time etc. etc. but this wasn't the case. We were particularly impressed by the ways in which the waiting staff communicate with each other, very calmly, to ensure that every table is looked after as well as it would if there were vert few customers. We will continue to visit!
Quattro’s – OrmskirkGood food, I had good company too and we had great service from E.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallVisited twice in the past few weeks both times on a Saturday 2:30pm and had the meat platter for. £30, great value and plenty for 2 people. Staff were attentive and pleasant. The first time was a little noisy as a large hen party was upstairs but the second time it was quieter, this didn’t put us off returning . We sat in a booth both times. Not sure how good value for money the main menu is the the platter with 2 very small glasses of wine is a great deal, weds-sat 12-3pm.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallA fine meal had with my daughter next to the canal in Lancaster. Club sandwiches were excellent along with the very reasonably priced bottle of wine, the remains of which we took outside after food. Very good level of service; excellent value for money. A real find. Just a shame that I live so far away!
The Waterwitch – LancasterBooked for lunch online, no problems doing that. When we arrived there were lots of free tables both by the bar and in the other room, but we were shown to a table right in front of the bar, asked to be moved to the other room which they did, the menu gave us plenty of choice. The service started off as being good and the starters and mains were tasty but when came to the desserts/coffees had to go to the bar to order as they did not come back to get our order.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallThe service from Gretel and Charlie was brilliant, and the food was really well presented and delicious.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallBeautiful sunny day paired well with a lovely meal, lovely staff and good play area so even the little ones enjoyed themselves. Also their cider is delicious. We go there regularly now.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenAmazing as always, very welcoming even when we had a last minute guest turn up! Top quality food every time we have been.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallVisited on the Sunday. Food was very nice, I had the steak pie from the specials and my wife had the sunday lunch. We both enjoyed the main courses, and the starters before them. I am glad to find a place that has accepted they have to put the prices up a bit to maintain quality, rather than simply keep the same prices and reduce the standards. The only slight issue was the pint of Moretti I had was a little warm, but given the temperature I drank it quickly anyway. The staff were very friendly, and seemed to be working very hard on a very hot and muggy day. Can't be easy in those conditions, especially when they had to cope with a Karen ranting about something and nothing and making a young girl cry - nice work Kazza. Haven't been for a while, and the refurb and new layout seems to work. Will be back soon.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallGreat food great service.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenExcellent visit again, service and food both excellent. Will visit again soon.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby Lonsdale4 of us booked for 4pm dined in a pleasant friendly atmosphere. I had twice baked soufflé for starter which was very very nice and fluffy. Main course I had chicken with pasta very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals and well satisfied. We will return.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWent for a sunday lunch 4* food, found it to be better when you used to get your own individual veg portion instead of a sharing bowl. The beef was lovely and you got a lot of it, my only fault on the food is that the last couple of times I have been the roasties have been quite hard, but other than that food is fab! You get a much better dining experience when you are sat in the restaurant not so good if you end up being sat in the bar area. Waitresses were all nice and polite, but I didn't like being questioned as to why I needed a spoon when I asked for one at the bar (I didn't receive one with my veg or cauliflower cheese). Quick service and reasonably priced always busy on a Sunday so make sure you book in advance so not to be disappointed. Will visit again!
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenHad a meal for a family members birthday . Great atmosphere, excellent food and staff were loverly
Quattro’s – OrmskirkLove the food at Bread & Butter. It’s different / better to the tapas on offer in other restaurants in Preston. Lovely friendly staff too & a great atmosphere in the evenings
