Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWent on a Saturday afternoon, as my wife had just had a knee op, requested a table with good access, no problem was shown to a large table in the middle of the restaurant. Staff although young did a great job, The food ,homemade steak pie, with veg, and the gammon was lovely, no complaints, the real ale osset blonde was spot on, allinall a very pleasant experience. Only downside was that I was looking forward to trying the Baldy pies which are still advertised on the Web site, to be informed that they are no longer available, however the house pies weren't bad.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenVisited with my sister - her first visit, what was there not to love? Fabulous, tasty food, the staff were attentive and we really felt looked after, great atmosphere…. Yet again, can’t fault it….. will be back to bring in my 50s in May!!! Thank you!
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallAn excellent evening. All food was first class and service from all staff was friendly cheerful and efficient.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleGood atmosphere, food was nice, staff very very friendly, but we ordered a bottle of expensive champagne and they came back with we haven’t got that one in stock but we’ve got an alternative but it’s dearer ! Exactly what I said they’d do as they done the same last time for which I wrote the same comment. It’s like they try to squeeze every penny out of you they can, for that reason I won’t be returning, but everything else was very good. Such a shame.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkA long time since we last visited. It has really been modernised. If we had known about the bar area we would have got there earlier for our predrinks. However you could tell we were on the peripheries of scouseland. Adults and kids in tracksuits playing games and watching sport on their phones. Not what you want later on a Saturday night, particularly as we have come from restaurants where they take your phone as you enter. That said, yhe main reason you ho is for the food and it was superb. Could not fault any of it. Delicious. We were warned about prices but I thought it was fair for the quality of food. Bring in a dress code after 1700 on a Friday & Saturday, control phones and we will be back
Quattro’s – OrmskirkLovely food. Great service. Awesome views.
The Golden Ball Hotel – MorecambeExcellent pizzeria. A decent choice of starters and pizzas, including a couple of vegetarian options. The bases are thin and crispy and the toppings all excellent. This is one of the few pizza restaurants where my wife likes the pizzas (she prefers pasta usually). Food is all freshly prepared to order. Only downside is it can be a little noisy when full, due to the nature of the building, but it's not that much of an issue.
Site Pizzeria – TodmordenHad a lovely evening. The food and service was excellent….Definitely on my list for future visits
Papa Luigis – ChorleyExcellent food, excellent service great atmosphere, what else can you ask from a restaurant. Had another lovely evening with friends and will certainly be booking a table again soon.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkWe had a great evening at the Lunesdale. The food is excellent and the service is very good. Everything was perfectly cooked and served. Thank you.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdalePizza are outstanding as usual. Forever accommodating with toppings easily interchangeable. Onion rings however are definitely shop bought and pale in comparison to the quality of chips and pizza. Would definitely come again but wouldn’t order the onion rings
No 61 Pizza – ChorleyHad a fantastic lunch at the Lunesdale Arms. Our first impression as we walked in was the lovely decor and the friendly staff. We all had three courses and enjoyed every mouthful of the delicious food. Service was outstanding too.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food and good service. We definitely will be back.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnOur first lunch at Quattro's, after a number of evening visits. The service was excellent (it is always good to be recognised as a regular visitor), with small elements, such as the immediate replacement of a knapkin that had fallen to the floor, adding condiserably to the overall experience. The food was, as always, excellent, both in quality and quantity. Serving two starters as a main course presented no problems, and this continued with the dessert course, with an expertly prepared creme brulee. An enjoyable experience in what is becoming our go to everyday restaurant
Quattro’s – OrmskirkBeen a couple of times since the refurbishment, quite regular visitors. Had friends over from Yorkshire and took them for lunch. They were wowed by the menu choices. Had a fabulous lunch, food outstanding and lovely service. Will be visiting there soon
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallThis place never fails to impress. Lovely friendly staff, nice atmosphere and food is always amazing....I almost don't want to leave a review in case I can't get a table, in future! My friend is veggie and she was making what I can only describe as "happy noises" when she was tucking into her veggie sarnie....she also rates it!
