CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenWe came last night for the first time and were not disappointed. Four of us had a different dish from the menu, four empty plates and thoroughly enjoyed the food! The pub was busy but still managed to have a relaxed atmosphere. We will be eating there again.

A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe love this place, the food the atmosphere and the friendly staff. We will be back!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleI’m posting this review because Traders Arms asked me to. The main course and starters were good and, as other reviewers have commented, the chips were excellent. The dessert was very disappointing – bland cheesecake on a hard, thick biscuit base – like something cheap from a bottom end supermarket. But what ruined the visit was the “welcome” when we arrived. I had reserved a table, online, ten days in advance, requesting a table by a window. When we arrived, I gave my name and was told by the lady behind the bar that our table was round the corner by the coffee machine. The table was in a gap between the coffee machine and some steps, with part of the table protruding into the thoroughfare… and on the opposite side of the room from the windows. I returned to the bar and said I had asked for a table by a window. As I did so, another member of staff came over and asked what the problem was. The lady behind the bar said, “Apparently, they asked for a table by a window.” I produced the printout of our reservation and commented, “There’s no apparently about it.” We were the told that the tables by the windows (of which there were several, unoccupied) were reserved! In the end we had to settle for a table not by a window and, in retrospect, I wish we had left before accepting it. The service at the table was good but overshadowed by the rudeness of one member of staff. We won’t be returning.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe had tapas on Saturday evening and it was amazing, as are the other meals we've had here. Ryan and his team are lovely and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Can't wait to come back. Thank you.

CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenHave eaten here probably 5 or 6 times, different days of the week and times and every time the food and service has been great, both when it’s busy and when a little quieter. I feel it’s probably the best pub food (and service) in the area now. Highly recommended.
