The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallOne of my long standing favourite places to eat in Todmorden ….. great ambience , fabulous staff, fun cocktails and of course wonderful burrata starters and hand cooked pizzas! Never fails for a super meal in a lovely atmosphere .
Site Pizzeria – TodmordenThis was our second visit and it was as good as the first. Had a lovely meal on Christmas Eve. The cocktails are great especially the biscoff milkshake one. We had the brisket, the Nashville chicken (which is fab) and the Yorkshire pudding wraps. Everything was hot and really tasty. The staff are great. We will be going again.
Smokin Vs Real Barbecue – PrestonIf you like to participate in drugs, enjoy local foul-mouthed people, then please go. No apology whatsoever for the severe damage to my car caused by a member of their staff wired on drugs. A baseball bat was used the Police tell me. CCTV eventually recovered.. Avoid, it is all a sham.
Black Bull Inn – BlackburnWe visited in Christmas eve after positive reviews from friends. It wasn't a busy evening but food took more than 30 minutes for food to arrive. When it arrived we asked for condiments which did not materialise until we had asked again and we had nearly finished our food the staff looked completely flustered despite it being quite quiet. The food was almost inedible due to the amount of salt which had been added. We mentioned this to the waitress when the plates were cleared and the manager came to speak to us. He apologised and explained we were the third table to complain about the salt in the food. It was agreed we would pay only part of the food bill. For a limited menu it was hard to believe the chef could have got it so wrong, and the prices are too high for what food they do serve.
Sydney’s of Lancaster – LancasterIf you want proper pub food you won’t be disappointed.
The Station Hotel – LancasterGreat service and very nice food, the Ragu arancini was particularly tasty
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallFabulous views, very tasty food and excellent service.
The Golden Ball Hotel – MorecambeAnother delicious meal at Verdes Restaurant. Food excellent and service very good. The staff are attentive, but never rush you.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyLived in the area all my life and never been to Quattros, I now know that was a mistake! Excellent food and service and good value too. Will visit again for sure.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkExcellent food, tastes like all ingredients are carefully sourced for maximum flavour, good service.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallI booked this for an early Christmas meal with some of my family that travelled over from Yorkshire. We ordered off of the festive menu and were impressed with every course. The smoked salmon starter was particularly good. My Dad said it was one of the best meals he had ever had so this speaks volumes. Thank you to all the staff and we will return again in the near future.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyHad a fabulous meal here for our Christmas get together with 4 of my friends. However, it was advertised as a "Party Night", which it wasn't! There were no crackers on the table, no Christmas songs and no Christmas atmosphere. Disappointing Christmas atmosphere.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyThoroughly enjoyed our evening at A’Vucciria on Saturday for my sister’s birthday. The food and atmosphere was fantastic and the service, as always, was faultless. Can’t wait to come back
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallFabulous experience. We had the breakfast menu and will definitely be back again soon. The food was really tasty and well presented, staff were pleasant and attentive, venue was clean and relaxing with a beautiful view of the countryside.
Whins Green KitchenFood was nice and the decor was lovely, but the service was shocking. It took almost an hour for our drinks to even arrive, with the soft drink for the child in our group not even coming out until we complained. The service was unbelievable slow and when we asked about where things where we were met by no apology and a bit of an attitude. Unfortunately the waiting staff let this place down.
Sydney’s of Lancaster – LancasterThe staff were all friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic. The vegan options we had were beautifully presented and really delicious. The flavour combinations were perfect. It’s a beautiful setting with superb food- highly recommended. Excellent value and we will definitely return soon.
Solea Restaurant & Wine Bar – BlackburnLovely food and restaurant will definitely be coming back. We had the special which was delicious
