Great food ! Lovely refurb and great staff my favourite place
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallI love this place. The staff are great and the food is out if this world especially the sharing platters!!
Anatolia Grill – St HelensVisited for the first time this week and had a lovely meal - we opted for the festive dinner and mulled wine but will definitely be back to try the usual menu again! Food was really good and portion sizes were generous! Staff were also really welcoming.
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonAnother good Sunday roast. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Barking dog did shred my nerves!
Trawden Arms – ColneWe had a very lovely time at Site this weekend for a very special occasion. The food was delicious, gorgeous pudding and cocktails. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you
Site Pizzeria – TodmordenAnother enjoyable evening in a great and atmosphere. Excellent food served by very friendly, courteous and professional staff
Quattro’s – OrmskirkWow, I'd read reviews and was expecting a lot. The reality was even better. Great decor and ambience. The hostess was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We sat at the bar to have an aperitif and peruse the menu, it was like we were meeting old friends as we chatted to the barstaff who were very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Its not your typical Italian restaurant, there's no pasta on the menu. Its more like Italian tapas. We were really hungry and ordered 11 dishes to share, my brother has a very healthy appetite. The beef carpaccio melted in the mouth, the melon and parma ham was uplifted with slithers of fresh reggio parmigiana. My brother absolutely loved the lamb ribs with a tangy bbq sauce, the meat was soft, tender and falling off the bone. I indulged in 6 oysters natural which were big, plump, fresh and properly shucked so they still tasted of the ocean, some of the nicest oysters I've ever had. The scallops with delicate flavours of Thailand, the grilled prawns off the daily specials board and the sicilian salad of fennel, fresh orange segments, mint and other amazing tastes were all incredibly moreish. I even found room for a delicate panna cotta with fresh berries. Our favourite dish was a mix of mushrooms in a rich gorganzola and salsa verde sauce. I haven't stopped thinking about the food and cant wait to go back. Everything we ate was fresh, presented beautifully and prepared with careful attention paid to the balance of flavours in each dish. Now it wasn't cheap but we had two cocktails each, a nice bottle of wine and after dinner liquors without which it would have been much cheaper, obviously. It was a special night out for us and worth every penny. I travel and dine out extensively and often have amazing dishes but its very rare that I find everything delicious. I honestly cant recommend A'vucciria highly enough. I'm planning to eat there again very soon. There's lots more on the menu I want to sample.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallFabulous meal we ate on Saturday night after the England football match which was half an hour later than our original time. We called in the afternoon to see if it was possible they were very accommodating and we preordered. The staff were wonderful and food delicious. We would highly recommend it, and will definitely be going back.
Toms Table – ClitheroeThe food is good, and we appreciated the children’s options. The staff are friendly. However the service is far too slow. Our table was booked at 3.00pm and it took 45 mins for 3 pizzas and 2 sides to arrive then a further 19 minutes for the remaining 3 pizzas. We previously encountered this on a busy day here, but there were only 4 tables occupied. No one minds waiting a bit, but 45-50 mins for a pizza is poor.
No 61 Pizza – ChorleyI’ve lost count how many times I’ve been to Whins since it first opened, what a place it is! Beautiful views, friendly staff and amazing vegan food. Myself and my husband try to come most Sunday mornings for a glorious breakfast and walk down the canal, we’ve never been disappointed yet. I always look forward to my visits.
Whins Green KitchenPleasant evening .. food pretty basic .. chicken quite rubbery in pasta .. salmon over cooked but still tasty just not enough had with rice
Papa Luigis – ChorleyLovely new decor but food not so good . Staff need some training.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWhat a fantastic location!! So pleased to find amazing vegan food that is both healthy and really tasty. Can’t recommend highly enough. Lovely staff too
Whins Green KitchenExcellent as usual. We had a birthday booking for lunch time and we were certainly not disappointed. Menu choices were really good and food quality superb. We have been several times but this surpassed anything we’ve had before. I had the cheese soufflé which was outstanding and the baked Camembert which was a delight. Staff were polite and professional as always and we had a lovely lunchtime. The birthday treats at the end of the meal simply added to the whole experience. Thank you and we will definitely be back.
Toms Table – ClitheroeWas part of a large party on a Xmas meal out upstairs in this restaurant. The food was not very nice at all and poorly presented. I had chicken breast in a creamy sauce with mushrooms and peppers. It was served on a cold plate on a cold flat wrap so was barely warm when it arrived, and did not look appetising. Booked for 7.30pm meal arrived at 9.10pm. The room was extremely cold and I sat with my coat on all night. No effort had been made to make the room look Christmassy despite there being space up there for a tree.
Anatolia Grill – St HelensLovely food at a reasonable price.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallOur 2nd visit in a week. 1st. Visit we hadn’t booked but were graciously taken to a table with a view and had an absolutely excellent steak and Stilton pie. Yesterday we did book just for a quick lunch as we were travelling to Knutsford. We had chicken and crispy bacon ciabatta. Again very good. Lovely decor, good friendly service. Can’t recommend highly enough. We’ll be back.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWhat a find this place is. We were on holiday and staying close by so booked for our final evening. From the warm welcome to wonderful cocktails, delicious food and excellent service we couldn't fault anything except we wished we lived closer! Hope to return in a years time.
