The Tipis At Riley Green – PrestonThe menu was great.. you can’t go wrong with the burger option all amazing! Beautiful venture so pretty. Drinks outside after our meal in the sun so chilled. Will definitely be visiting again soon. Staff where lovely, friendly and polite.
The Tipis At Riley Green – PrestonAlways love eating here when we visit our son at uni. Very welcoming, lovely food, cater well for vegetarians, we never go anywhere else. When the weather is nice it is idyllic sitting by the canal.. Staff are great even with all of the restrictions.
The Waterwitch – LancasterMy first visit to the tipis last night and have already booked again! We are so very lucky to live in Hoghton and have this amazing place right on our doorstep. The staff were so friendly, smart and professional, they are an absolute credit to the owner of The Tipis. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and perfect for this type of venue. The atmosphere was lovely, and the background music enhanced the atmosphere. Really looking forward to my next visit soon. I can highly recommend this venue.
The Tipis At Riley Green – PrestonBeen twice for food and once for drinks since lockdown was lifted a little. Feels really safe, brilliant service and ace food. Enjoyed one of the new craft ales in a can as well. Great to be back.
The Waterwitch – LancasterFood excellent as alway Recommend 3 cheese and onion pie . Always recommending them to our friends .
The Dog Inn – BlackburnIt was our first visit to the tipis this week and we where amazed at what a beautiful venue this is. All staff where extremely polite and welcoming. The food was exceptional. The Tipis At Riley Green – PrestonHad the full Lancashire breakfast. Top quality ingredients. Sat in the sun with friends. All thoughts of Covid disappeared. Thanks to the staff who are always brilliant .
The Bank Bar & Kitchen – DarwenExcellent food and service! Definitely go back to try lunch as we had breakfast.
The Bank Bar & Kitchen – DarwenVery stylish establishment, great social distancing, staff pleasant & food really good! 4 of us ate here, no complaints. Thank you
The Bank Bar & Kitchen – DarwenLovely setting and a good all year round venue I would probably even go in the winter I think it would look gorgeous when it’s darker earlier. and really friendly staff . We didn’t eat the menu we felt was quite limited with the mains but great options for burgers . but would return for a few drinks x
The Tipis At Riley Green – PrestonService was great we got our food surprisingly quick. Onion rings were very greasy but chips were lovely as were the ribs that I had. Beautiful setting and would definitely go back.
The Waterwitch – LancasterService was initially very good. However, we finished are mains with 45 mins left in our slot, nobody came to check if we wanted desert (which we did) and when someone came over 30 mins later they told us we had to be off in 10 minutes. Other than this issue, cannot fault them.
The Waterwitch – LancasterLovely food and service was fab! Will definitely go again and recommend to family and friends.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnArrived and staff unable to find booking but quickly sorted and taken to our table. The venue is stunning and I imagine even more so in the evening and at night. Waitress was lovely and took our drinks order and brought a bowl of water for our dog. Waited 15mins to order food and food came out quickly thereafter. Unfortunately the food let the service and location down. The Childrens fish fingers, chips and baked beans came without beans but had been replaced with peas. We had to get the attention of staff for this to be rectified. We mentioned that the menu stated baked beans not peas and the waitress said she’d get some more, this was quickly rectified. I had ordered the chicken and bacon Caesar salad. I was surprised to find onions, peppers and mixed green leaves with very little chicken and bacon. No tomatoes or Parmesan. It tasted lovely but not a Caesar salad. My partner had ordered the chicken burger and we noticed his side salad was the same as my salad. Again the beef tomato was a very thin half a slice but he wasn’t fussed has he hates tomatoes. He said it tasted fine but was very standard for the price. We ordered some more drinks and a different waitress brought the drinks over asking if we had ordered “a lemonade or something”. Maybe a little extra training in professionalism and customer service. Our waitress came back and showed us to a table outside the tipi to finish our drinks. All in all gorgeous location, staff were attentive and beautiful venue but the food let it down.
The Tipis At Riley Green – PrestonLovely meal and great location. However, wasn't informed that we only had a 2h slot so meal was rushed as service quite slow.
The Waterwitch – LancasterAn upbeat atmosphere and wonderful staff .
The Bank Bar & Kitchen – DarwenI have been a frequent customer since Water Witch reopened after lockdown. Their service is fantastic, quick and smooth. Very polite and helpful staff, great food and excellent ales. This is definitely my go-to place for the views but the customer service as well. The team at Water Witch have done a brilliant job adapting fast to the new guidelines and each time I have been, I have had a great time!
