Spitfire Sports Bar – DarwenDecided last minute that we fancied a Sunday lunch. Booked in easily via the website despite it only being in 30 minutes. I have to say that I had the most delicious roast beef with all the trimmings. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough. 10/10!
The Lodge – LancasterGood.
The Lodge – LancasterVisited for Sunday lunch 01/11 and was not disappointed. The chicken and beef roast dinner was as close to as how you would make your own! Both the apple + ginger crumble and sticky toffee puds rounded off a superb meal. Made aware the pub is community owned.....which is excellent as you can see where the sense of pride comes from. The service was friendly and seamless. An absolute gem which once lockdown is over we’ll be rushing back to.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnHad a lovely Sunday lunch, beef and yorkies cooked to perfection. Fabulous staff along with great ambience in the restaurant - the new owners are offering an enjoyable experience! Recommend!
The Lodge – LancasterThe food is exceptional, wonderful atmosphere, attentive staff and value for money. A firm favourite!
Astoria – BurnleyWe love this place.! The food is some of the best in the area . Fresh, good blends of flavor and well presented. They Also have a well stocked bar . It’s a lovely old building with an outside view not many places of this standard have looking right out across the bay towards the Cumbrian fells. They are still developing the outside area but I’d say by summer this place will be one of the nicest places to visit and sit outside, If a fire pit is added then winter will be a great time to visit And site outside.
The Lodge – LancasterOutstanding food and great service.

Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterBeautiful surroundings, clean safe environment, superb food, outstanding service, we love this place. We have been a few times and always try something different each time, never disappointed.
Whins Green KitchenAs always - lovely food. The pate iis always wonderful and the scallop starter was great according to hubby. I had Piri piri chicken and he had the salmon with firecracker rice and we shared some pickled battered onion rings. It’s our favourite place for posh pub grub. Maybe some linen tablecloths in the evenings might just dress the pine tables up a bit??
