Been to Quattros quite a few times now and always a great experience. Food is excellent and staff always very friendly.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkFood was excellent. Service was great. really lovely staff all friendly polite and helpful. Speed of service was good and staff were very accommodating as we were late and held our table for us which we had for 2 and a half hours which was great. Felt like we had time and space to really enjoy the experience. Good old Waterwitch. Always a favourite with us on a nice day.
The Waterwitch – LancasterI don’t really care what your food tastes like. I booked a meal and found out shortly before we were due to arrive that you didn’t serve alcohol. This wasn’t at all made clear on your website. I cancelled soon after because I will not allow people and their religion to dictate what I can and cannot do. You don’t deserve my custom or money. If you want to take your religious beliefs into you business then make it absolutely clear you are doing that.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterWe had a wonderful lunch here earlier this week. From Chorley it is such a pleasant walk along the canal to Whin's, and the al fresco dining was so wonderful, allowing us to take in the gorgeous views on a very sunny day. There was a little delay in getting served as they were very busy, but the waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a little bit of a mix up when we arrived - despite being booked in we had to wait to be seated, and then waited again at each stage of the process. There was some confusion about where to sit, were we told at first to sit anywhere, then told to go inside and ask at the counter, then offered tables outside. As it happened we didn't mind the service taking so long as we were having a leisurely day and the weather was beautiful. The food was wonderful from start to finish, and we absolutely loved being able to grab an ice cream cone for the walk home. It is such a rare gem to find a place as fine as this that caters for the vegan palette with such style, and we feel very lucky to have this on our doorstep! My only other quibble would be the price - had we not had the vouchers kindly given to me by a friend then our lovely lunch would have worked out quite pricey indeed - considering the lower cost of non-meat ingredients we felt some of the prices were a bit on the high side. However, we will definitely be back the next time we can justify having a treat meal. I would recommend Whin's to anyone wanting to try a healthy and tasty slice of plant-based cuisine.
Whins Green KitchenFantastic first meal out with friends in over 18 months! Great food - every dish was lovely especially the panelle and the carpaccio. Friendly staff with a great atmosphere. All covid secure - felt at ease. Thank you for a great night! Will be back soon!
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallBrilliant atmosphere, staff amazing and friendly as always. Food excellent.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkBooked a meal for 2 at this restaurant,I found the staff to be very helpful. The food was excellentand good value for money. The only slight criticism was it could have done with some background indian music to set the ambiance.......but overall enjoyed it and would seriously think about going again.....highly recomend
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterTable for 2. Lovely food and drinks. Great atmosphere. All round very good. Will be coming back without doubt
Quattro’s – OrmskirkA party of nine on two tables, including three children. Order were taken quickly and the service was excellent considering the variety of meals we ordered . Everyone enjoyed the meals they had ordered and despite most of us having three courses all the food was served within the two hour slot that we had been allocated. Well done Quattros we'll be back before long.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkFabulous food and service was first class. We will definitely be making Sultan of Lancaster our number one choice for Indian food in the area.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterTable 19 05/06/2021 Booked our table last minute and was advised that the only one left had a view of the pot wash area. Karen was very apologetic about this. When we got to the pub, the table was great. No-one in my party was put of by this at all. They were really busy but apologised for the delay in serving the food, which we didn't really notice. The food was served piping hot and was great. The music was great too.
The Canal Turn – CarnforthWe found all the members of staff very pleasant and attentive ,food was nice we ordered a sharing board and my husband was impressed with the real ales .
The Waterwitch – LancasterWe have been visiting Verdes since our children where small, they are now visiting with their children. We call it our happy place, all good food, service and value for money, we absolutely love it
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyAlways a pleasure, staff friendly and food is amazing , got to go there nearly every weekend , it's an addiction for my taste now !
Astoria – BurnleyI booked for 2.15PM as I thought I would have beat the lunchtime rush, but I still ran into a few problems. First off, the food is really excellent. Served hot, high quality, beautifully presented and good sized portions. I could not fault the food at all. Excellent. The atmosphere is very good too. Situated on a quiet road, the outside tables overlook some wonderful views. There was a wafting sewage smell every now and then, but it passed quickly. It didn't smell like the normal 'farmland' smell, it was hard to pinpoint. The service was poor. 30 minutes to order two drinks (an extra 10 minutes to get the second drink on the order), wrong drinks brought to table, 40 minutes to get a food menu. We were there for around 3 hours to get two plates of food, a main each. We did order tubs of ice cream on the way out though. From other tables, I overheard comments such as "we haven't had our starters yet" (as mains arrived) or "I keep asking for cutlery". It was disappointing to see a table arrive around 30 minutes after us, receive drinks, menus and their mains by the time we were allowed to order, but from the interactions, it appears they were either regulars or locals. It was surprising because by the 3.00PM mark, of the outside 15 - 20 tables, I would estimate 7 - 10 were occupied, so I can't even say they were rushed off their feet, but it was much busier when I first arrived. However, I should say that every member of staff I spoke to was very pleasant, friendly, engaged and positive. The lead waiter did repeatedly apologise for our delays and seemed to be doing the best he could. No one was rude or made us feel unwelcome. I thought the food represented good value for money. However the menu needs to be updated slightly as a milkshake is listed at £4.00 but on the bill it was £4.50. It's only 50p and I didn't feel the need to raise it as I wasn't sure how long I'd have to wait for a revised bill.
Whins Green KitchenBrilliant- great day, great prices and great service. Thanks
