Whins Green KitchenMy husband and I visited Astoria on Sunday 4th October, both of us miserable as out Turkish holiday had just been cancelled. The authentic atmosphere went along way to apease our mood. Every necessary Covid measure was followed and we both had an excellent meal and felt well looked after by all the staff.
Astoria – BurnleyThoroughly enjoyed our Sunday afternoon here. We enjoyed delicious starters of pate and mushrooms. We followed with the substantial Sunday dinner and the Cheese Pie, both of which were really tasty and very filling. The bill was a very pleasant surprise. The views from our table were amazing too. Will definitely revisit soon.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnEnjoyed a delicious meal last Sat. Compliments to the Chef. Also found all the staff very welcoming and they couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. Can’t wait to come again. Carrie Dugdale.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeAlways enjoy our visits to Astoria, the food is always excellent, there is a lovely atmosphere and the service is always good. Good COVID measures in place.
Astoria – BurnleyI’m not one for writing reviews but I really feel that the team a the Dog Inn deserve one . Visited her on Saturday Evening on the 3rd October. I ordered garlic mushrooms and My husband ordered the salt and pepper ribs to start. The starters arrived presentation was good the mushrooms were the best Iv tasted in a long time really yummy, my husband had ribs and he said they were very meaty and the spices were perfect and very tasty. We both had the brisket ,it melted in your mouth with a smoked taste just yummy and a very good portion size, defiantly recommend it. We finished our meal with a shared Eaton mess with homemade meringue, chantilly cream and blackberries it was not too sweet, really well balanced perfect and very yummy. Staff were very friendly and It had a good atmosphere. The bar staff came to your table for your drinks order due to the Covid restrictions but worked really well she was very happy and helpful. It’s a hidden gem but definitely worth a visit . Can’t wait to return .
The Dog Inn – BlackburnNot been for ten years and was breasted with a big smile of the same gentleman from way back. All the staff very friendly and efficient. I tried the reviled swordfish which was fantastic. The garlic bread with cheese was how I remembered it ( excellent). My son had pasta meal which he fully enjoyed. We decided to come regular as we did years back. Than you all once again it brought back some good memories.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyThe Sultan of Lancaster is wonderful! On a previous visit with some vegetarians we shared the Thali. This is now our standard that all other Indian restaurants are held to and is what is ordered whenever we visit despite not being vegetarian ourselves. It is COVID-19’s fault that the atmosphere gets only 4 but it is usually 5.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterAbsolutely stunning food the best tapas I’ve tasted, will definitely be returning. Thank you .
Astoria – BurnleyReservation made online which was both quick and easy. Felt totally safe as the restaurant are clearly doing all they can to ensure this. The food arrived quickly and as always, was amazing. All the staff were attentive and friendly making for a lovely evening out.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWhat a great place! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and the staff are so welcoming! Will be going back as soon as possible...or getting a take away in the meantime :-)
Astoria – BurnleyI have been going to papa's since I was a little girl. Over the last 20 years, the food has remained a consistent high standard. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere. I really like how they have partitioned the tables, but kept it feeling cosy. I like that they take your order before you are seated, as you do usually get your food pretty quickly! The only downside was, on our most recent visit, we had a table booked at 7.30 but we weren't seated until 8.00 and didn't receive our starters until 8.40. Worth the wait though!
Papa Luigis – ChorleyGreat food ,great staff ,good value for money When you first go in staff a friendly and informative, a lovely atmosphere, would recomend anybody to go its great
Astoria – BurnleyWe’ve been twice now and both times were very pleased with the food and the friendly service. We really like the vegan and vegetarian options, but everything we’ve had and we’ve seen being served looks great.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnAmazing food & amazing atmosphere. Even during COVID nothing has changed in the quality of experience. Still COVID secure and very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back
