Great little pub in York village on the outskirts of Langho near Whalley. The food is good. The landlord friendly and the views out the back over the Ribble valley are amazing. Always busy which says a lot.

Astoria – Burnley5 star
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWe, as a family, have been going to Papas for as long as it’s been open. However, on this occasion some of us were disappointed as we felt the food was not up to normal standards.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyCame for my daughter's birthday, we love it here as the food is amazing, the setting is beautiful and the staff attentive. On arrival, everything set out safely which was good and made us feel very safe. Gave our name but the booking clearly wasn't there which I'd made online. All food was fantastic, we all really enjoyed what we ordered, however service was lacking. We didn't get a drink we ordered, the cutlery was dirty. After our mains we asked for a desert menu which never came. We then asked for the bill which took 20 min to arrive. The restaurant was not busy so no excuse. And no fuss made for our daughter which has always been the case on previous visits. We will be back as the food is lovely, just need to sort out the service.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyBeautiful food and surroundings . Friendly staff . Loved sitting outside with the dog , they even brought a water bowl for her as it was so hot .
Whins Green KitchenI love everything they serve at Whins. It’s all made with such passion and the tastes are incredible. I’d come here every night for tea if I could!
Whins Green KitchenEnjoyed everything about our experience at The Dog Inn Belthorn. The feed was excellent. My soup and cheese pie perfect. Everyone else in the party enjoyed theirs too. The real ale was fresh and tasty. The views amazing over the Lancashire countryside and everything felf Covid safe.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnPleasant service and full marks to Jamie -who owns the restaurant for coming to see me about my Allium allergy and for checking out how things were after the meal.Good place to go for medium prices and varied menu.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnFresh and delicious food. Friendly service and wonderful views & surroundings. Benn many times and always look forward to going again.
Whins Green KitchenGreat food. Gorgeous looking old pub, especially the garden and views at the back. Was all very safe with Covid regs too
Shireburn Arms Hotel – ClitheroeLovely food, beautiful view and very friendly staff we will definitely be back.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnReally good service, excellent quality food and great for families with kids.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWe will definitely be visiting The Dog Inn restaurant again. The food was delicious. We highly recommend a visit. You certainly won't be disappointed. The food is well presented and cannot fault the service and atmosphere.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnGood selection of food on the set menu, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately service was poor, we had to ask for menus after 10mins, the replenishment of drinks was slow, and plates were clear while some were still eating. Out of 5 meals, 3 were really good but two quite bland. It was quite busy, so very noisy in the restaurant.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyAnother great meal at Verdes and glad to see them back open. Only issues were, time taken for order to be taken (They weren't busy when we arrived), order was incorrect for one of the dishes, long wait for food to arrive and left waiting a long time between first course and being offered dessert menu. We then had to ask for the bill. Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, but whilst I don't like being rushed, this time they were the opposite way, with absolutely no sense of urgency.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyAmazing as always. The food & service 10/10! You must try the Gambas Pil Pil!
Astoria – BurnleyI ordered a sparkling water & got still water. Trivial but set the scene. Got 2 menus. Early bird & main menu. Person taking the order seemed never to have read the main menu. We had to point, a number of times, to what we want. We were told it was only his second day. That is no excuse. We joked to ourselves that he wouldn’t get a third day. I ordered fish. I was amazed when the waiter came back to ask how I wanted it cooked. After not getting anywhere the manager came over. It was obvious my order had been given incorrectly to the kitchen, despite it being pointed out on the menu. The starters were no better than ok. My main was poor. My wife’s, again fish, was so overcooked that it was inedible. We sent it back & declined the offer of an alternative. It was so bad my wife didn’t want anything else from them. At least they knocked it off the bill
