Tiger Lounge – AccringtonVisited this restaurant for the first time with friends. Wow! Spectacular food, freshly prepared. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. Can’t recommend this place enough. We left stuffed and will definitely be back.
Astoria – BurnleyWent for lunch with friends, lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious and service brilliant. Will definitely be returning.
Astoria – BurnleyExcellent food, excellent service and very reasonably priced.
Astoria – BurnleyDined here yesterday for my friends birthday. Overall the experience was a good one. The food was tasty and well presented. However whilst we were told on ordering that the dishes would arrive to our table as and when they were prepared, we were disappointed to be presented with our patatas bravas and rosemary focaccia bread at least 15-20 mins before our chicken and sea bass dishes came, by which time they were cold and could not be eaten in conjunction with the fish/chicken. I appreciate that the bread/potatoes take less time to prepare but it would have been advisable to delay preparation of these until the chicken/fish was almost done. We were also tempted in by the displayed offer of 3 tapas for 14.95, however this was only for ‘starred plates’ of which there were very few to choose from so our order came from the ‘normal menu’ , resulting in a quite expensive lunch. (£55 for lunch inclusive of one drink each) . Overall a slightly better than average experience but the restaurant needs to be warmer especially at lunch when it isn’t as busy as no one wants to sit there with their coats on !
Astoria – BurnleyVisited Tiger Lounge twice and really enjoyed it both times. The food has been excellent, the atmosphere is lovely and Becky is friendly and welcoming xx need to support our local businesses !!!
Tiger Lounge – Accrington1st visit on a Thursday, place was very quiet, staff chatty and friendly. Ordered our 1st lot of drinks at the bar which we was asked if we wanted to put on a tab which we did. We then sat down at a table of our choice where the food menus were already waiting on the table, waitress came over about 10 mins after we had sat down to take our order. The cheese burger was delicious and the best I've ever tasted, my hubby had the 8oz Steak which was cooked how he asked - med/rare but could have been a little hotter (cooked from room temperature). The home cooked chips were really good. The table service was a bit slow re more drinks, condaments and steak knife had to be asked for. Was reasonably priced. Will be returning sometime.
Tiger Lounge – AccringtonSo decided to book online for new years day at 5.30. Confirmation email received. Turned up to a closed restaurant. Been many times before and never had this issue but not terribly happy.
Fighting Cocks Inn – BurnleyWe visited the dog for the second time on new years eve for an afternoon booking. The first time we went it was excellent!!! Unfortunately this time not so good.Understandably it was busy and we chose to sit in the bar area as the restaurant was packed. It took nearly an hour to get the starter then a further half hour after that to get the main meal.Although food was good there is no excuse for an hours wait for the starter. We where really impressed the first time we came 5/5.This time 2/5 which is a shame.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnThe occasional food that we had over the Christmas and New year period was generally good and enjoyable, the new year's eve dinner that had been pre ordered ie roast cod, with braised baby gem lettuce, boulongere potatoes, braised leeks and lemon butter was accompanied by mashed potatoes , broccoli and carrots, still good but not as expected.
The Brasserie – LancasterWe had a lovely meal. Food delicious, staff very friendly and attentive and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to all our family and friends.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonWe visited the Fenwick after hearing great reviews from friends over the last few months. I have to say that they were right, every dish that was served arrived perfectly plated and piping hot and each mouthful delicious. We will definitely be returning for another visit.
