Astoria – BurnleyExcellent food and service for our annual street party. Thank you Simon and team. We will be back soon.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonIf you haven’t tried this gem of a restaurant yet your missing out. First visited with friends and was impressed so returned with the OH last night. A great menu with plenty of tempting options, locally sourced produce cooked to perfection. Already looking forward to another visit
The Dog Inn – Blackburn4 of us went for a mid week meal, it was quite busy but we were soon seated and served. The food was all fantastic, very tasty and cooked to perfection. Locally produced meat and dairy products on the menu too, which is great to see. We will definitely be back!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnGreat lunch excellent staff and food highly recommend
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeGreat food brill staff and great place.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonWe had our Christmas party at tiger lounge and it was fantastic. Amazing food, drinks and entertainment. Would highly recommend!
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallI haven’t been here for a while. I remember why. Your white wine is awful. Sauvignon Blanc and the Chardonnay even, Bloody awful cheap crap a la Blossom Hill. That’s why I go to Longlands but maybe you’re not aiming at the older female market who wants some music and a good glass of wine. Longlands does not have the music but I’ll take a delicious glass of good wine in a beautiful glass any day. It’s been a serious let down for me tonight and it’s what stops me coming to eat also
The Canal Turn – CarnforthMain course was great, but desert was disappointing, ordered sticky toffee pudding, but it was a ginger pudding, and instead of toffee sauce, it had a raspberry sauce all over, didn’t get it taken off bill even though mentioned we didn’t like it.
The Hinds Head at Charnock Richard – ChorleyI have been here few times and food always been nice ! We had the Xmas menu I had pate same as my friend salmon pasta & profiteroles for desert ! Unfortunately I woke up at 2.30am being sick I think it must of been the salmon so for this reason I won’t return or recommend this restaurant!
Papa Luigis – ChorleyI took 8 friends for a Christmas lunch yesterday and everyone seemed more than satisfied with their meal. The atmosphere was festive and the food was up to the usual standard, which isn't always the case when restaurants are so busy. There was quite a long wait between courses but this didn't spoil our enjoyment as it was a social occasion and no-one was in a hurry. A few crackers and a Christmas centrepiece on the table would have been a nice touch.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonReally lovely food and great service. Can’t fault it!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnBooked for a table of 8 on Sunday for my husbands birthday service was brilliant amazing food brilliant atmosphere great night highly recommend
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWe love it at Tiger Lounge, have been several times however the most recent visit was disappointing. Not because of food, which was lovely (though undercooked) but due to the lack of service, wait time’s for everything and care. After pre booking a table and requesting a booth, then calling prior to arriving to confirm this we then arrived to no booths available. A couple had sat in the booth marked reserved and had been served their drinks and orders taken. As there was no where else for us to sit the couple were moved to a smaller table which was uncomfortable for us. Surely point out there is a reserved sign before serving? It took a long time to take our order, bring drinks etch 2 members of our party of 8 were served food 15+ minutes before the rest, meaning they had finished by the time other meals arrived. Sadly the final two people to be eventually served were children, way later than the rest of us. We specifically came for the Sunday roast, unfortunately it wasn’t the same as we had been served previously. The cauliflower wasn’t cooked, the sharing sides were stone cold by the time our main plates arrived and then we had to sit staring at our food whilst we waited for cutlery. All people should be served together or at least make sure children are served first if this isn’t possible. By this point we had then been there almost 2 hours and ordered our desserts. The children’s arrived and they finished theirs, we waited an additional 5 minutes after this then went to the bar and asked for our bill and to cancel the remaining desserts, we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy them now the children were restless and had finished and the gaps were too long. 5 minutes later and still no bill, but the desserts arrive to our table and we again say no please can we have the bill as we have now been here 2.5hrs and need to leave. I feel it was unfair to bring desserts after telling us they weren’t ready 5min before and that they would bring the bill over- we had coats on at this point. Bill arrived and they have charged us an additional £12 which we then have to query Service, lack of attention to detail and delays really let a fantastic place down after we had persuaded friends to join us there by saying how awesome it is. Little things like not taking 20 mins to clear empty plates, having cutlery there prior to/at same time as food served, taking note of serving the full table/children first will make a huge difference to experience. Food overall good, atmosphere great, also fab value for money but staff seem inexperienced/unable to cope. We seemed to have different waiting staff rather than one- maybe an idea they have allocated tables so individuals are responsible for clearing/serving and not relying on customers to ask for plates to be moved. We also would have likely had many more drinks but struggled to grab their attention and weren’t once asked if we needed another drink/how the food is etc. We will try again based on previous visits and hopefully logistics and service improve
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallExcellent food and lovely atmosphere. Staff very courteous and considerate. Thank you for a great meal.
