The Shankly Hotel – PrestonI had a great time at this restaurant, the food was excellent and at a great value for money. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and were quick to help us whenever we needed anything, not to mention made polite conversation too. The cocktails were delicious and there's a great variety of food on the menu, I could not recommend this place enough!
Astoria – BurnleyFound this place quite by chance one weekday lunchtime. It’s a quirky little venue hidden away down a side street in Longridge with a great selection of wines by the glass. As it was Friday I treated myself to a cheeky glass of Vermentino while catching up with some emails. Nice place.
Fullaloves Wines – PrestonWent for lunch on Saturday and was knocked out by the food and ambience. The staff are lovely and so friendly and the quality of the food and drink are outstanding. Everything cooked fresh to order and great range of wines, beers and the rest. Portions are good so 3 tapas between two is a great deal at £14.95. The place is classy with a great vibe and everyone from toddlers to grannies got a warm welcome. Go for food or just for a drink in the smart upstairs bar. You won't be disappointed. Going back on Sunday for husband's birthday and can't wait!
Astoria – BurnleyThe meal we had was excellent. Couldn't complain, food served hot, service good, staff not over bearing, nice wait in between courses. The only complaint was no draught beer and the peroini was gluten free and you ran out io cold bottles!!! All in all a good meal and would definitely recommend and revisit!!!
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonA lovely meal here on a Wednesday night that with the discount, provided some real value for money. Service was spot on and there was a great atmosphere. The Beef in Yorkshire Pudding was a taste sensation. We will be back! Only improvement would be to get a decent non flavoured gin in; Manchester 3 Rivers would hit the spot! Also to check before chucking garnish in the gin.
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallVisited 6 Aug 19 for dinner. Have eaten here a number of times during the last 18 months and will come again and again as we continue to enjoy the excellent food, most pleasant staff who give excellent service. Lovely atmosphere and value for money. Unreservedly recommend.
The Hinds Head at Charnock Richard – ChorleyOne of the best Sunday lunches we've had and at a price that's great value for money. If you've not tried this in the last 10 weeks, give them a go, you won't be disappointed. Well done guys, we've tried most of the pubs along the M65 / M61 and apart from some of the top end expensive "pubs" you're top of our list. Would be good to share your story with diners.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnGreat atomosphere , wonderful attentive staff and fabulous food, with plenty of variety on the menu. Never disappoints.
Slice Of Sicily – PrestonWe have visited the Hinds Head several times over recent years and always had a good experience. The service and quality of the food has always been excellent and good value for money. On our most recent visit we enjoyed the lunchtime fish & chips and the fillet of sea bass - both well presented and tasty. My only minor comment is that the lunchtime menue doesn't seem to be quite as extensive as it once was - I realise they are trying to keep prices down but maybe to have a couple of lunchtime 'specials' would add a bit more interest to the offer.
The Hinds Head at Charnock Richard – ChorleyAbsolutely love this place. 6 of us went for the early bird menu on Saturday - food was excellent, all freshly made and piping hot. The 2for1 cocktail deal is also an added bonus. Always find the staff very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Slice Of Sicily – PrestonWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Astoria. The pasta dishes both myself and my husband had were the tastiest we have had in any Italian restaurant! The staff were attentive and very friendly. Loved the decor and music too, felt like we were on holiday in Italy. Would highly recommend. Prices good too!
Astoria – BurnleyOur party of four had an early afternoon Lunch at the Ginger bistro. Everyone enjoyed the meal, it was excellent value and good service. The restaurant closes around 3:00 so if you are planning a lunch visit Don't arrive later than about 1:30. However we sat and chatted long after service had finished and weren't rushed at all.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonHow good to support a community enterprise- and to find such great company, service and food to boot!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnThe Steak is awesome!
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeWe booked online for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was busy - as expected- so there was a slight delay before the main course arrived. We didn't see this as a problem, as we don't go out to eat if we are in a rush. More importantly, all the staff were excellent and clearly well trained in providing good service. As for the food, we could not fault a thing- perfectly cooked and presented. We will be back asap!!
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeMy wife and I have been many times on the last twelve months and enjoyed both the drinks and the food. The Canal Turn us a credit to Bill and Victoria.
The Canal Turn – CarnforthLovely venue. Food was amazing - I want to marry the chef! Had feta and red onion garlic bread then fillet steak stroganoff. Even the coffee was lovely, Service was very attentive and pleasant. I will 100% be going back, If I had to find fault I just didn’t find the chairs comfortable but this wouldn’t deter me going again.
