Astoria – BurnleyMy wife I visited the Dog Inn, we felt safe with regards COVID-19. Tables were spaced out. We checked in using the NHS app. Both starters and main courses where wonderful. Great value for money. The only thing that was a shame was the language from staff in the open kitchen. I’ve never heard language like it, if I’d have been with someone elderly, or someone who was easily offended. We would have had to walk out. It did shock my wife and I but, we are accustomed to hearing this kind of language in the local pub. Not some thing I’d have expected from a restaurant. Plus we were the only table in the at the time.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnExtremely impressed. Went for Sunday lunch. The best Sunday lunch we have had locally in a long while. Went again on Wednesday evening and had the burger. Again excellent. Felt very safe and were well looked after.
The Lodge – LancasterReally enjoyed our lunch on Saturday. Food excellent, ordered from the specials menu, wine good, staff friendly and helpful. Lovely surroundings and safe. Only fault was it was a bit chilly. Would Definitely recommend .
Astoria – BurnleyWe called for sunday lunch after a walk. We each had 2 courses which was excellent value for money. We also had a discount for booking in advance which was very welcome. The food was delicious the beef Sunday roast was lovely with some real differences from a standard roast. The caramelised carrot was fabulous and the roast potatoes had a lovely twist. We will certainly be returning. We initially sat in the bar but it was a little cool but the veranda was stunning .
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe have visited verdes twice now once in February and once in September, Food, Service and atmosphere has been amazing both times! Staff are so friendly and welcoming and are always attentive , Food is always amazing and isn’t overly priced either . Would definitely return again .
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWe booked on line and on arrival we were greeted, seated and given menus straight away. Staff were very polite and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the Chicken Livers and we haven't found anywhere that does Garlic Bread like Verdes. We did have an issue with our steaks which was resolved to our satisfaction and would certainly recommend Verdes.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyReally want to like Whins Green Kitchen but the customer service really needs sorting out. Food was great and obviously lots of choice for vegis & vegans. Setting is lovely especially on a sunny day. This is unfortunately spoilt by poor customer service. If they could just sort this out it would be a great review. So to be constructive: - We ordered food & drinks but the drinks never arrived, not even with the food. - After asking 2 of the 3 drinks came and after asking again the third drink came, The tea we ordered came with an empty milk jug. - Food took a while which is fair enough as they were busy but no cutlery came with it until we asked. - We ordered 2 deserts and after 20 minutes of waiting asked again as they’d forgotten. - With some organisation and training hopefully these basic things can be sorted out. Don’t like writing negative reviews but hopefully it will help ensure the future service improves.
Whins Green KitchenYes very good curry house or should I say church, myself being not religious some people might be offended if I called it a curry church, anyways, not bad prices well worth a visit. Did have to wait about 30 +mins before anyone came over think they were busy but food was good.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterDelicious food and great atmosphere! Amazing smell as we walked in and greeted by lovely, friendly staff. Fantastic service throughout - will definitely be returning again :)
Astoria – BurnleyThe legendary cheese pie was awesome. The pub is famous for its real ale and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely village near Pendle Hill and Clitheroe.
The Swan with Two Necks – ClitheroeA wedding anniversary meal. Strange circumstances but well dealt with. Excellent service and lots of choice on menu. Thoroughly recommend .
Verdes Restaurant – Chorleylove this place, amazing food , lovely staff
The Dog Inn – BlackburnAs long standing customers we were delighted to return to Verdes recently. We were warmly welcomed in a safe environment and had an excellent lunch. Here’s to many more future visits!
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyDelicious food! Great service! Made even more special for my daughter with the surprise birthday music and cake by the staff. Also great to be able to book online, which we will be doing again soon.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyHad an excellent overnight stay on Friday. Room was spacious, bed was massive and comfy. The bar and restaurant was warm and inviting. Food and drink were great and service matched it. Breakfast was great too. We will return.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeStaff lovely, food lovely. Could do with more than 2 vegetarian options though.
The Lodge – LancasterWe were in the area and fancied lunch somewhere that we could take our dog. Found the Dog Inn on Google and we're so pleased we did. The best pub lunch we have had in a really long time, cooked with care and attention. The team were really friendly too. Highly recommend this place, just wish it was our local!
