We were invited to San Marco for a birthday partry and what a treat it was. Great food and service in a stunning restaurant space! The sun was shining and the Al Fresco dining space a perfect place to soak it up.

Trattoria San Marco – PrestonWe have dined out almost every weekend for the last 20 years, so I would say I am knowledgable on what makes a good restaurant. The Spread Eagle was exceptional for service.
Spread Eagle At Mellor – BlackburnThe Eagle at Barrow is a perfect spot when the sun shines with its large Al Fresco dining area. We enjoyed a great lunch yesterday. I had to have one of their award winning sausages I have heard so much about. I wasn't disappointed! My wife had the Lancashire tart and was similarly impressed. The interior is very well appointed too. So it's a place to go whatever the weather!
The Eagle at Barrow – ClitheroeThe Fence Gate Inn has a refurbishment and is looking fantastic. Definitely my venue of choice in the Burnley area.
The Fence Gate – Burnleylovely icecream.
The Pudding House at Wallings Farm – LancasterBeen visiting Grey Mare for many years, sadly the food has steadily gone down hill. Much smaller potions, long waits for food, on occation the food had to be sent back inedable scampy cold. Too much salt in some meals waiting an hour for our meals. The owners are very polite and apologetic but its just not as good as it used to.
Grey Mare Inn – BlackburnGood food and very comfortable surroundings. Would visit again.
Yew Tree Inn – PrestonThe food here is very good and tasty, no doubt I will be Coming again I can't keep away....the staff are very welcoming And nice...I always hang behind the back with my mates And they stop and say hi. One asked me for my age which is nice Because he could have wanted to get to know us....never stop The food its that good.
La Vespa – ClitheroeFrom the call to book the table my wife and myself were treated with the upmost courtesy and pleasantry from Tom, the two young ladies were also very welcoming and had a lovely friendly attitude in conversation. Now the food, I had a Mixed Grill which was terrific with excellent portions and without being overfacing and my wife had the Sirloin Steak with compliments throughout her meal, we hadn't been to the Sitting Goose for a few years but after tonight it will be a restaurant that we will look forward to visiting and enjoying the friendliness of the Staff and the quality of food that is cooked by the behind the scene staff and delivered by the ladies, thank you to all, we will see you soon.
The Sitting Goose – PrestonAbsolutely fab. Steak was done to perfection and we really enjoyed the meal. Will definitely go again.
The Derby Arms – PrestonOne of the best meals iv ever had! A group of us were staying on a narrow boat and our usual eatery was closed so we headed to the Border Rose. They had closed the kitchen just as we arrived but kindly opened again just for us! The landlady and her family were lovely warm people who made us feel very welcome! The food was homemade and so tasty! Thank you so much,we will be back!
Border Rose – TodmordenCame for first time with friends last Friday evening. Fabulous night. Banquet excellent. Comfortable surroundings and staff that where extremely helpful and pleasant. Will definately recommend.
Face Chinese Restaurant – PrestonMy mum and dad eat here often. They are old and don't have much money but are still dating after over 40 years of marriage. The Hong Sing always make a fuss of them and give them a free drink when they go in. That'll do for me.
Cannot praise this restaurant enough. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly. Been a few times now and love the warm welcome from staff. Every time I've been the food is cooked to perfection (and the vegetables aren't soggy !!!!!) Will be back again soon :)
La Vespa – ClitheroeI dined at your restaurant and had breaded veal. I left most of it and told the person in charge that as you could see it was very tough and greasy and very rough grain. So bad I would need a steak knife but gave up as it was inedible and told her so. In disgust I paid and left the restaurant, on reflection I should have not paid for inedible food. In the past I have been to this restaurant many times, but I think it changed hands in the previous years, this was Wednesday 11th June at 5.30pm.
Longlands Hotel and Restaurant – CarnforthYour food is awful very cold.
Waheeds Buffet & Banquet Hall – BlackburnFence is a lovely part of Burnley and there are some great options to dine, drink at. The Fence gate Inn and the Ye Old Sparrowhawk are the best I believe. We nipped in for lunch and even the though there was a funeral on, we were looked after well. I had the ploughmans which was very nice. A great palce for a pint outside with lovely countryside views.
