Nice meal for four with some impressive dishes. Particularly enjoyed my prawn cocktail starter with its sides of tempura prawn and prawn and sesame toasts. Rib eye steak was definitely medium as requested. Good wine, pleasant atmosphere, nice staff.
Butlers Arms – BlackburnBest food ever, so nice not over crowded. Lovely place definitely be going back, thank you all.
The wife and I made a special journey to Alghero. It's a destination restaurant just off the first junction of the M65 and near the M61, which makes it very easy to get to. Bar the road, outside its situated in the country with nice views over the countryside from their outside terrace or conservatory. We had a drink in the bar on arrival and then were escorted to our table in the conservatory by a friendly waiter. Starters were an excellent meat balls and a prawn cocktail, both very tasty and well presented. Mains were a cannelloni and seafood linguine. The cannelloni was the best I can remember having and the wife was impressed with hers too. Wines by the glass were good as was the value. We will definitely return, maybe on a nice summer evening to enjoy the terrace.
Alghero – ChorleyGreat food in a top pub in the beautiful village of Fence in Burnley. Spoilt for choice around here now.
The White Swan – BurnleyTwo for one deal, mine was in edible (beef in wine)so tough I could have soled my shoes. The bar-manager very kindly did not charge me!!!! Oh yes that's right it was a two for one anyway, who lost out? That will be me,then paid the £10 odd for my husbands but I had no dinner so paid anyway. Definitely feel the service, quality of food is poor.
The Field Fare – ChorleyAfter visiting for a recent special occasion we learned the establishment has recently changed hands, and unfortunately they've ruined it. After waiting for over an hour for drinks and food to arrive we discovered they'd lost the order, then proceeded to bring out incorrect orders, cold meals and apparent left-overs put together to form something else. The service wasn't much better than the food they offered with untrained, incompetent staff which was managed by a rude 'supposed' head chef that is nothing more than an embarrassment to his job title. Avoid at all costs.
Windmill Hotel – BlackburnThe Dolphin is a great pub with proper mans food. Enormous man v food style steaks. Getting a very good reputation for its meat!
The Dolphin Inn – PrestonMe and my family recently visited your restaurant on a visit from Northern Ireland, and we were very very impressed with everything about the place. On entering the premises we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, who quickly escorted us to the area of the restaurant that fully met our needs, and explained clearly how the ordering system worked, and also went to bring us the highchair we requested. I then went to place the entire order for 8 people, and ordered drinks along with this. We then went to pick up our carvery meals....each person was given the full attention of the server until they had exactly what they required. All of the food was piping hot and beautifully cooked. Then there was the desserts.....now where do I start when talking about these desserts....the whole range was exceptional, and we couldn't believe the sizes of the portions....overall truly wonderful experience and tremendous value for money (my wife even made me come back the following evening to by a take away portion of dessert).I have nothing but praise for your restaurant, and have already made numerous recommendations for people to visit. Please could you if possible pass on my thanks to your entire staff....WE WILL BE BACK, AND SOON
Sycamore Farm – BurnleyFive us really enjoyed our family meal at Ye Horns Inn Goosnargh. My boys enjoyed some homemade real ale in the bar area before dinner, as the pub has its own brewery now. All the food was excellent. Most of us chose their very famous Goosnargh duckling. It comes crispy with apple sauce, stuffing, selection of potatoes and veg. Very good starters and sumptious sweets. Have been coming for years and will continue too.
Ye Horns Inn – PrestonPlease be aware the food is great the beer fantastic The atmosphere superb But the phone number has changed 01995 640331
Green Man – PrestonI didn't dine at Bertrams, However I was very impressed with the whole set up. The Spa itself is very luxurious with a wonderful outside area, perfect on days like yesterday. The dining area has a very upmarket feel. A perfect location to make a day of it!
Bertrams Restaurant at The Woodland Spa – BurnleyHi every one, have you been visit Face h k Chinese restaurant in Preston Lancashire ?Please let us know your views of this restaurant. thank you....
Face Chinese Restaurant – PrestonJust great service and food. Could not fault it . reasonable prices. Give it a go.
Italian Orchard – PrestonMy daughters and I went for a midweek meal. Prior to arriving I phoned ahead to ask if they were still doing the sugarvine 2 for 1 offer ( which includes burgers) and the man who answered assured me that they did. When we arrived we were told that the advertisement was inaccurate and burgers weren't included, which was a problem as we all wanted burgers. I showed the waiter the sugarvine ad but he was pretty uninterested and just told me that it was wrong. We ordered two fish and chips and a childrens burger. The fish was ok, tartar sauce nice, mushy peas good but the chips were really cheap frozen ones, and had that crumbly texture inside. The childrens burger and chips was a good sized portion and reasonable at £3.99 but a very cheap and nasty burger and the same frozen chips. Plus we asked for cheese and bacon on it and got a sliver of each for an extra £1.50. Overall we were not impressed and won't be going again. It sounded like a good offer hut you get whet you pay for. It's a shame, because the place is lovely inside and the waitress who served us was very nice.
The Sitting Goose – PrestonOne of the best restaurants ive ever dined in. Food selection and quality is excellent and price does not matter because you ceratinly get what you pay for here, 10 out of 10.
La Salsa – DarwenEasily the best burgers in lancashire. Ordered a Triple P?
